    Ahh i get it now. Cali to canada. 👌🏽 my dream was similar. Would love to travel all over and fish lots of places from yellowstone and big horn to Florida saltwater. Not sure if thats a good niche. To be on the road full time live in a camper van or something and visit one area each week or so. Idk. The canadian guy i found yir channel on he mentioned he got his forst 1k subscribers all based out of one popular location. Albeit would be cool to have video's not only fishing but daily vlog as well amd interviews people at campsites amd fisherman along the journey. Im debating this or simply pursuing being a pro bass fisherman in the big leagues and vlogging that journey. 🤷🏽‍♂️ idk tbh but both seem like a fun life expirience.

    Very cool to see how one of these is laid out. Wife and I wish we could do something like this but various issues preventing that haha. Maybe someday! Hope you will fish that creek in the background!!

      @@CA2CAoutdoors I think know what part of the "lower" river you're at. I've stayed at that campsite many times. There's really good fishing in it, caught one of the biggest trout of my life out of that part of the river at that campground.

      @@l.j.saetia7770 sounds like you guessed it! Haha yeah that’s a great wild trout section!!! Definitely some Big fish in there and I’m jealous I’m not the one who caught your fish!

    Be careful hitting big bumps/holes at speed.
    You really risk bending the frame and compromise handling with the center of gravity moved rearward like you have. Nice camper!

      Thanks!! The drone footage is sped up for the video, the advice I was given was drive it like it’s not attached to anything haha

    Awesome rig, congrats! You probably mentioned it in the vid, but do you mind sharing where you found the used camper?

    • @CA2CAoutdoors

      Thank you and we love it!! I did not mention it in the video but I used - usedfourwheelcamper.com and they got me in contact with the guy who was selling it private party! I know wander the west has some good ones, Craigslist has them every once in a while and I believe there is a Facebook group as well! Took us almost a year to find the right one we wanted! It can be a process with people selling from under you which happened twice to me they go fast so if you really want one get the loan paperwork pre approved when your ready to start looking to make it easier because they might only be up for an hour or two before they sell and a FWC brand new build takes awhile! If you get a used one they are super cool about getting everything installed at one of their locations!

    What is your payload when fully loaded? With all the add on do you feel any difference while driving without the camper on? Thanks

      I think it’s around 2100 lbs, definitely notice a difference with the weight going over bumps but just freeway driving I forget it’s on there

    This is exactly what I’m trying to do: mount the Hawk model (designed for 6.5-foot bed) on my 5.5-foot truck bed. Did you see any problems in terms of stability?

    • @CA2CAoutdoors
      @CA2CAoutdoors  Год назад

      Nothing at all, FWC just tells you to keep the tailgate on.

      Ah man that’s gonna be amazing!!! I’ve been wanting to do an Alaska trip so bad!!! I’m getting like 13/14 mpg ish with it right now! 418 miles is my range on a full tank which isn’t that bad considering without the camper on I get 16/17 mpg

    Did you put on any new leaf springs brother?

    • @CA2CAoutdoors
      @CA2CAoutdoors  Год назад +1

      I have not! I’ve been thinking about it but it’s working fine right now with the bags. I don’t keep the camper on unless we’re using it and I’m on and off about getting them since I drive more without it and don’t want the back end feeling like it’s gonna somersault every bump I hit on the amazing freeways of California haha

    • @tamapaogofie-buyten3056
      @tamapaogofie-buyten3056 Год назад +1

      Haha ya I know these California roads well. Planning to pick up one and live out of it for 6 months- a year potentially. so there’s some serious contemplation on the leaf springs plus extra upgrades. I rock the 2017 Toyota Tundra SR5 package

      @@tamapaogofie-buyten3056 it might not be a bad idea for you then, especially with the add a leaf kits. That way when you get your bags you won’t have to worry about them being at a high psi all the time!
