Super interesting watching this after just going through OSUT. Yeah it’s not real but watching operations and battle drills being used in a practical setting puts aLot of what I just learned into hella perspective. Great vid Karma!
I havent done a leader's recon since my days of Iraq deployments. But all 1's/4's/5's and 6's would go out and conduct the recon. Thats not inlcuding an RTO/Medic/ security detachment. The other thing to note is that the leaders recon is done the day prior so that you wont have to do it on the day of the raid. Its a waste to conduct the leaders recon on the day of. the people sitting back at the AA waiting for the leaders to return are more than likely getting complacent. Once the assault has commenced, I would call X-Ray (whever the TF name is) that the assault force has SP'ed for mission and I would call in all phase lines which I see none by your overlay. All actions on OBJ's would be called in to included SBF/ABF, CFF on targets, CAS requests and BDA's. once its time to pull from OBJ to exfil that also gets called. just typing this, I had flashbacks to my worst deployment of my four deployments to iraq: 2005 - FOB Summerall, Bayji Iraq...TF Dragoon (101st Armor, PA National Guard). I was with TF 2-7IN BN, B co 3rd PLT (Tank Platoon Spliced into IN company). I was the PSG's Gunner on the Abrams during that time and when I was off the tank, I was the CO Battle NCO for the TOC.
I really hope you revisit the new updates to Arma Reforger. I realize that it's obviously not ready for the types of content you're making but even a few one offs just for fun and to get your thoughts on the updates would be fun.
There are some ghost recon breakpoint is one if you take off all the hud set to max difficulty and take your time. There is also if I'm right six days in falluja which isn't as big as arma 3 but still cool.another good one is arma reforger which is literally this just for console.
