I stopped traveling out of usa. There is so much to see in usa and rather spend my money to other usa people.

Thank you for the video. I will get my bees in April and have been planning for months for them, trying to read and watch everything I can to be prepared. It causes me to worry that I will make terrible mistakes that will hurt my bees. I am looking forward to jumping in and getting started so I can start actually"doing" instead of"dreaming" about it. Your videos are so helpful!

The only thing that I fear is :
How many more hives must I lose before I give up ? My hives have failed many times all have been 3 pound packages with mated queens :
6 were dead on arrival at the post office ,
3 killed their own queens ,
    2 absconded ,
3 just failed to survive .
    🤷‍♂️
I have ordered 3 nucs for this spring and bought all new equipment from Bee Castle .
Would it hurt anything to provide a few pieces of pollen patties ? Or some Hive Alive Fondant ( if they don’t take to its OKAY) along with an inside round feeders with 1 to 1 sugar water ?

Got above 65F here in north Alabama so I took the opportunity to inspect my 1 surviving hive. Between the brood box and the honey super it had about 8 frames packed with bees. Plenty of pollen. Still has honey and they are beginning to store some nectar. I think from maple. Absolutely no brood. I could not find the queen. Wont be able to get a queen until late March. Is this colony lost or do think it can survive long enough for me to get a new queen? Thanks

Well I went out to switch out candy boards. There was a handful of bee's on the candy dead. The rest were dead on the bottom screen. I'm not sure what happened since I checked two weeks ago.
I have been trying for over 6 years to keep bee's alive. I will now buy local honey. Thanks David for all you do for your beeksquad 😊

Great video sir. I was not aware you taught beekeeping. I am currently in a class but REALLY enjoyed your talk.
Not sure if I can get my setup and bees ready this season. Im a newbie and may not be able to til the fall. Is it outrageous to start in the fall even though the bees are not busy at all? Thanks again!

I have a question for you? I’m in Michigan it was in the 50’s then over night it dropped to the teens. It killed my bees they wasn’t clustered. They made it through the cold spell in January but not this cold spell is this normal what could I’ve done to help them out for next time.

Mead-making is what originally got me interested in beekeeping. Thanks for talking about the fears and hesitations we all experience and the real world elements of overcoming them.
