It's hard to believe that time flies by so quick, and MJ turning 60. Happy Birthday, MJ!!
It really seems like yesterday when I was a junior high kid watching The Flu Game, him hitting the iconic game winner in 98, and him crying in the locker room holding the game ball after winning the Finals in 1996, in tribute to his father, winning the title on Father’s Day - which is my favorite MJ moment of all time. My entire family who didn't watch sports would all sit in awe of what he was doing, It was a spectacular event. He made me fall in love with basketball. He set the standard and blueprint for how basketball looks today. It's insane that after all these years his highlight reel is still mind blowing. It's not just the fact that he has 6 chips, but also because he still looks like the best basketball player even for today's standards. Now imagine Jordan going up against kd a 7 footer who can dribble shoot and play like an assassin. Imagine Jordan playing against embiid a 7 footer who can do everything and jokic a playmaking center which is like magic Johnson if he was better. Also Giannis would average 100 points in his era. Also no more hand checking in todays game....and tons of flopping. Contesting players at the rim is rare as well. The NBA made rule changes to speed the game up and promote more scoring to sell the game overseas....at the cost of the defensive portion of the game. • @SpenserFriel

This is the best highlight reel of Jordan I've ever seen put together. There's a bit of all the things he did on a regular basis -- the freakish ability to easily catch the ball with one hand, the complete terror he was on the fast break, the speed, the agility, the other-worldly body control in the air, the never-ending array of highlight-reel reverse layups, the explosive first step blowing by everyone in the league, the steals, crashing down on players to block shots from behind, finishing over 3+ defenders in the lane, the mid-range game, and of course, the dunks -- and he dunked on everyone, including the most elite rim-protectors: Dikembe Mutumbo (4-time Defensive Player of the Year), Alonzo Mourning (2-time Defensive Player of the Year), and on and on. And look at how much higher his hand is over the rim than the centers he keeps dunking on in the video. It was truly unreal. It's hard to convey how much he seemed at the time to be not-human, like he came from another planet. He was just that much better than everybody, essentially at everything. He was named MVP 5 times, but in truth he was the best player in the league many more years than that.

His form in 58 was perfect. I think this is a very underrated play. How he steals it, launches and beats the buzzer without it looking awkward from that deep doesn’t stop amazing me. Especially in this day and age where shots from that range are common, they always look ugly and forced, they always loose form. MJ apart from everything else was beautiful to watch, an artist, a master at work.
