    Hey everyone! This video specifically covers how to repair a nail jam in a Bostitch 2 in 1 nail gun. I have looked over and and over for this specific gun with this issue and was unable to come across it. Once I figured it out, I knew it would help some one else out to put a video up. Thanks for watching and pay attention to what I did wrong initially so that you don't damage your gun! Thanks! ALEX Q Email wcjt31@gmail.com

    I am a homeowner with a day job who does not do anything construction related for a living. That being said I am working on framing out my basement and Bought this ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt gun. I have done a few walls already, have probably shot a couple hundred nails through this thing and have yet to have a misfire. It works awesome, good depth on every nail if you have your compressor set right. My literal only complaint is that it is a bit heavy and my arm can get a little tired especially whrn I am nailing at odd angles. That being said I am super happy with it and would buy it again. Hoping the old girl allows me to get my whole basement finished out!

    When clearing a jam, that funny shaped piece fell out. I'm in Kingston NY and no one would work on a nail gun. The manual was no help but your video helped me put the trigger mechanism back in place in 15 minutes. Thanks, dude.

    Thanks for the video! Super helpful! To anyone else watching, it isn't a star wrench....it's an H3 (hex) bit :) the closest star bit is a T15 and that will strip the heads.

    Just did a big reno, had to use this trick a few times - many thanks. One thing I would add is that in Canada, the screws require an allen wrench instead of star bit. When you said star bit I had a ffs moment, but double checked to make sure.

  • @jamesday5117
    @jamesday5117 6 лет назад +3

    I was able to clear the jam by just loosening the three screws enough to take the pressure off to remove the jammed brad. I used either 4 or 5 mm hex Allen wrench. This may work for some nail jams and others you may have to follow the video. I do recommend just trying tonloosening the screws first without taking them out to possibly save yourself time.

    unless things are really fubar, just loosen the star screws 4-5 turns so they are still retained, these small brads will fall out enough for you to pull them the remainder, then just snug the screws back up

I tried to pull it out but it didn’t work, I also put the gun back together, dry fired it and paid attention to it, seems though it has not moved. At first I thought a mail might have been jammed but I’m unsure what the problem might be now. Any suggestions? Thank you.

    I've had this nailer for 5 years and it has never worked. The other two that came in the set work fine. I took it to the service center twice, they hooked it up both times and it worked, but does not work when I get it home. When pulling the trigger it seems to want to fire but nothing happens. I do hear a click of some type. What do you think I should do? thanks

    • @AlexQuiroz
      @AlexQuiroz  7 лет назад

      Hey James! I know that this may sound simple regarding a possible solution but do you think you have enough pressure coming our of your compressor? The only reason I'm suggesting that... well 2 reasons ... is because they are showing that the gun is working therefore there is nothing wrong with the gun... secondly I've had the issue where a nailing gun would give some effort but no more than that when trying to fire off a small compressor even though it showed 100 psi... I used the same gun on another compressor with more psi and it worked the way it needed to ...my recommendation is to find a buddy with a solid compressor and hook it up to that. I'm wondering if the compressor is the only issue that needs to be fixed to make your gun work...

    • @jamesvaughan9471
      @jamesvaughan9471 7 лет назад

      Alex Quiroz I hear you but the other two guns work fine with my compressor. But yeah if I find someone with a gun I could check using their compressor. I'm wondering how I can further increase the pressure...been a while but I guess I can increase the pressure on it?

    The bottom line on these is that they are a poor design. You will get well practiced at un-jamming them as they do it all the time! Tools that perform two functions are not necessarily a good idea. There is compromise somewhere!
