this is some serious video content, good quality, good filming, informations, no stupid talking or noises. And most importantly gave the exact answer about what we typed in the RUclips search bar : base model f40. keep it like this bossman!

Actually interesting to see this car in the bare-minimum base model config. Most youtube channels usually show the m-sport or at least the sportline trim. It's even very rare to see this on the roads. I think the only thing that BMW needlessly cheaped out on are the halogen headlights. Its sister-car from the 2 series - the F44 Gran Coupe - has LEDs in the basic trim... This might be the only new BMW you can still buy with halogens.
I own a 2022 Business Advantage 116i with the 7 speed dct and despite the noticeable difference in gear ratios (the 116i engine runs at 2k rpm while driving at 90 km/h) I seem to achieve the same fuel consumption as the car in your test. Recently I managed to average 5.0 l/100km over a 200km flat highway trip, holding firmly 110km/h with cruise control, AC on, EcoPro activated, average temp at 12°C, 2 people, 16in wheels, regular unleaded fuel.
Lots countries has bad road if rain, in my experience Germany or some countries has best road surface that almost no aquaplaning, but in this video it was low rain, so most no problem, you can try in german road with rain
Dario Like if Mini was bad or something. Entry level BMW's and MINI are far better made than Audi A1/A3 , Seats, Skodas and VW. More of a quality feel. When you close the door of a new MINI you feel some weight to it and a premium sound and the driving dynamics are far better too than many VAG products.
@@PaulTC97 I didn't mean that, in fact i have a Mini Clubman. It was just something curious. I know they share the platform with the 1 Series, but i didn't know they used also the same wheels.
I compared consumptions of this car with your other video of the 2020 BMW X1 sdrive18i. Same engine and the X1 consumes less? I know the X1 was manual on your test, but still it should not consume less than the 1er
Usually, german cars in germany can be customized (feature selection wise) more than anywhere else. That's why they cost a bit less than in Italy, France, NL, etc
3-Zylinder klingen sogar richtig gut!

UK models all have LED headlights as standard
There's no such thing as bare minimum anymore, even the base model has everything you need. Extra equipment is just cosmetic for the most part.
Beautiful car can't wait for mine to arrive, got the m sport version 😍
Never seen this gen 1 series with halogen lights, here in the UK every f40 1 series gets LEDs all round
Yeah mine is base spec but is more kitted out than previous gen F20 M sport models
@@mojomomo1475yeah the F20s were really limited on spec , even cruise control was optional on the M Sport in the UK

Are you satisfied with the car? Considering buying one
+200 on heavy rain? Not a good idea, I went aquaplanning once on highway at 160 and was not fun at all. Otherwise, great video as always.

@@TESTDRIVEFREAKschiiiiiese!
this speedometer looks so oldie !! reminds little on old citroen models from 80-s
Are those the exact same alloy wheels of the Mini Clubman/Countryman? LOL

Dario Okay haha sorry then. Im just tired of people criticising entry level BMW's and MINI. Have a good day fellow MINI driver.
@@PaulTC97 Awww... And I was about to prepare popcorn😕
@@alexgrazie93 Damnn me too
This will be my first car ❤

could be wind speed and direction
in italy, bmw series 1,has only digital instrumentation.why,is there also analogue in germany?

Wrong, i'm italian and you find plenty of 1 series with this cluster.
That’s not true at all .... I’m Italian and Italy there’s plenty of people with analogically taco and the car can be customized as well as in German
I Wish it had an 4 cylinder,im not gonna pay 30k for 3 🤦
Dachte es gibt keine Halogener mehr bei BMW. Seit 2018 gibts doch, bis zum 1er runter LED serienmäßig :O Was mein F20 nämlich hat.

Did you know the real consumption at the 116 diesel?
60mpg+ if motorway and not driven harshly
3cylinder,halogen lights and interior of early 20's // dont get me wrong, but we aint live in that time anymore
Ist er laut von innen ?
Der Sound triggert mich einfach immer 😂😂. Wieso ist der so knackig? 😅
Ist der Regen

ambiance
3 cylinder, in mine opinion, not done for a BMW.....
Le volant est moche
What an ugly car...especially in base trim it seems like BMW has made it so ugly on purpose.....
