Officers need to quit using that stupid compass on the PLD and get a feel for what direction they're going during pursuits. It's really inefficient to callout "northbound" on roads that run east/west.
People cant do that in real life. Just walking down the street ask people which way is north or west, they will have no clue unless they live there, even then not all the time. We cant all be gifted with the ability.
Yeah sure, you can use a GPS to find everything for you in life, whatever. You'll never need to have a basic human skill to navigate without a computer or another person spoon feeding you everything. Why should anyone learn to cook, we have restaurants you can goto. Lets not teach people to do math either because calculators do it for you. We aren't saying that people should know every street in the country. But in the space of DOJ, they are in it a minimum 10 hours a week, or they must take a LOA or quit DOJ. Its the same as driving around their home. Do you get lost as soon as you leave line of sight from your house, or path that you've memorized? We're saying that people should have a basic sense of where they are. When I drive through new cities and towns I may not know where the post office is or the nearest Denny's, but I certainly know which way is north and I certainly know how to find my way around without a GPS. We are talking about people that cant tell you which way is north, or which direction a certain building (that they have been to multiple times before). Just the other day I was talking to a friend and they were describing a gas station we goto all the time that was to the west, and they were pointing south east when they were talking about it. Thats the kind of unawareness we are talking about.

Aviation Report I knew a guy and I contacted him through email then we picked a date and the time for me to arrive. If u don’t know someone call your station or walk in and ask cuz not everyone does one since it’s dangerous. All places are different tho
All you have to do is call a police dept in your area and they will put you in contact the sgt who's in charge of handling ride outs. Almost all deptments require you to be 18 to ride out.
Police stations usually have Ride Along forms on hand that you can fill out. I've been on several ride alongs in my county mostly with the same deputy. It helps much more if you know the officer or deputy.
Sorry Jeff, normally I've got your back when it comes to missing stuff that people get on your case for but when the hostage ran by you and you completely ignored him didn't say take cover or anything then the other cop starts talking to him and you can hear him say after the bullets flew over your head that the cop got shot. You left him behind..And then when you see the hostage again at the gate and he's not cuffed you question why he's not cuffed? Because you didn't cuff him. There. Now I'll get off my soapbox and continue to enjoy your content thoroughly.

Justin H I will say that the training only slightly prepares you for an ambush situation. Considering there's normally only 2-3 of you, you have to try to take down the suspect whilst also staying with the officer. Understandable why some officers wouldn't know what to do.

I realise that the amount of traffic causes frame rate problems but imo the traffic adds a more realistic aspect to traffic in a major city so I really hope they find a way to fix things were they can keep the same amount of traffic and just fix it to were there is no more desync and frame rate loss. I would really enjoy that personally I don't know about anyone else.
hey Jeff I noticed that you said how does it have to do with the mafia. I have an idea of how it could be part of the mafia. The last known for the mafias location was in grove street area first of all. Second it was 3 people in 1 car. Third the area you seen them if I recall correctly was near grove street. That is where they could have thought it was related.

What really sucks is people actually drive and react in real life like AI does for you guys in game. It is so frustrating running code 3 and nobody knows what to do so they just get in your way. I deal with it on a weekly basis in most cases.
The framerate issue is the "Forests of Harmony" mod- it's not optimized like the "Forests of Chilliad" mod. I had no problem with the Chilliad mod, but started dropping frames once I had installed the Harmony mod. It gets really laggy driving down route 68.
