A bit of a history lesson: yomi hustle was originally intended to be just a singleplayer stick fight simulator, and THEN they realized pvp was a sick idea
An interesting thing I discovered is that you can do makeshift impact frames by increasing hitstun, and make moves more tactically cinematic by having the hitstop be below the stun value. Was playing with it earlier, and I landed a projectile with ninja, and was able to dash behind the opponent before they were sent that way and intercept them. Makes the battles more cinematic even if from a gameplay standpoint, it’s not very balanced. Just something I figured I’d throw out there tho.
Just wanna point out that sans *does* have a grab, dunno if it was updated but he has a move called hotdog that acts exactly like a grab and sends the enemy FLYING

you can use delayed backbone to punish grabs and jabs btw, it's one of the character's strongest tools
i have literally never heard of this game but after watching this i am completely sold on it

Shrug isn't just a taunt, it cancels grabs and counters most other moves.
Can it counter burst ?
Its literally the sans dodge, anything melee is countered by it, and you teleport behind them while your character says a quote in the sans voice lol
Shrug counters all melees when predicted, and it's also immune to *some* projectiles while grounded. Most of all, it builds meter.

Jumps beat grabs. You dont need to tech throw to beat it. Just short hop, and use a descending aerial to punish for BIG BOI dmg
