PEQdB is great because it allows me to find the target curve for my specific ears. That's what it's best for, that's the selling point. The PEQdB Target Curves however, not so much. They run into the same problem as the Harman Target Curves: They are just the average of all the listener preferences, no human literally fits into the average. This is a problem since the point of PEQdB, as I see it, is not to be a generic average curve, but rather the subjective one for your ears. Doing what Harman is doing seems pointless.
I auditioned the E3 for nearly a month and was impressed by their performance. Beyond their tonality, I was particularly struck by their resolution and dynamics. Specifically, I could detect even the slightest compression or limiting, something that would be far harder to notice on headphones with a slower response, such as the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pros. While tonality is undoubtedly important, it’s certainly not the only factor that matters.
Right now peqdb is not really that usable to set and forget. For me, on multiple tries with different songs and slider\AB trials, it always boosts bass too much unless I specifically dislike any trial that remotely has bass, and elevates upper mid\treble region. I think that's because it doesn't really test you for different frequencies you may like or dislike, it just templates you with rough average without any finetuning. Despite having 40 trials with sliders, almost none of those were about upper mids and treble (and that is very sensitive zone you know). Yes those are kinda tested, but the way trials work, any trials with recessed mids and treble come with bloated boomy midbass, and everyone will rate this as -5 because it's unlistenable, which peqdb in turn percieves as "huh you don't like recessed mids and elevated bass, so I'll reduce that bass and also elevate upper mids and treble you'll like more". After that it throws me very bright and harsh tuning without any bass at all and I rate it -5 as well, so peqdb percieves that as "yeah I'll crank that bass up without reducing everything else". I end up having large to stupidly large amount of bass with sibilants. Every damn EQ config I get has that +3 db high shelf filter on 10khz and peak filter on 6873 hz (that exact number every time) +4 db. WHAT? I already have sibilant headphones to begin with. I have to manually add peak filters to scale down sibilant regions and reduce midbass. Also some headphones have multiple measurement and it doesn't help at all as it's not clear if those are measured properly. A\B testing is even worse, because it throws too many similar samples and stops the test halfway if I select the largest amount of trials, because it decides it already knows what I want.
I've been looking for years for an IEM that's similar to the Hexa but improves it. I recently got the Truthear Gate, but there are some good options coming, like P50, Volume S and Moondrop Meteor.
I sold my Blessing 3 a long time ago😭 but at least I still got a lot of IEMs from the best company in the world 🎉 meteor, dusk, Blessing 2 dusk, KATO, and A8. Still hunting for a Darksaber though.

I sold my Sennheiser HE-1 and replaced it with the Dyson Zone. Really a nice improvement in sound quality. Plus you get clean air as a bonus.
XD
lmfao. I hope people do realize your comment is sarcastic
I'm doing the same as we speak

there are many elements to it!
Moondrop x Sharur?
Moondrop xXx
Selling my lcd-5 now
Now selling my HEKSE. 😂
Fine I’ll offer you $500
I'm gonna have to throw them from 7-th floor after a week of lite use sry
This is the best video by Sharur, a true culmination of all his previous works to deliver the best picks in the world, just insane work man...
The Nova seems to measure identical to the blessing 3 but with more bass
Crinacle vindicated
Best thing i’ve heard in my life was E3. It’s portable as well. Crazy times.

this will all be resolved soon
@@sharuraudio hope so, if it does, it will make the whole "hobby" of spending money on dozens of headphones even more meaningless.
Dan Clark sold to E3 - Shocking! 👑
I'm happy, I already have the Crinacle Red, 7HZ Zero and the Chu 2.
You're not allowed to be happy
Well headphones are more than just frequency response, there are distortion, spatial presentation, build quality, comfort, touch, materials, etc.
When will you release the PEQbd Combined User Average?

I wonder what Sharur thinks of this list, especially since Crinacle's IEM collaborations-his apparent rival-are within the top 20. LMAO
**Looks at Dark Saber and Concerto**
Y..yeah at least they did.
lmao the cca trio is in the list

nice
Can you imagine trying to sell this guy a bike.
what
so then all your videos are just satire. I only realized this after this video
If only they could get better at QC
Where can I find this ranking list, specifically the one for for IEMs? Thanks..
in the discord
Waiting for sharur to do eartip reviews and how it affects sound
Sharur.. Can I buy Truthear Nova now?
It's interesting to see the Sony MDR 7506 ranked so high, especially for a $90 headphone.
true
treble measurement accuracy and seal consistency left the chat
so...does that mean the blesing3 is not garbage anymore? who should we trust, you or AI?
AI and me. Blessing 3 is amazing
what about the variations then???
better with eq worse without
Is the Takstar Pro 82 a high-quality headphone?
meh
@@sharuraudio why it is ranked so high?
Is this for real? How can ai tell what the best sounding iem's are??
proximity to ideal target
You do not have Fostex headphones in you database, an many others. Only new/hyping products
Hey, do you mind me asking what mic you are using here?
sennheiser mkh8020
should i get the wf1000xm4? is it as good as the list suggests?
Peqdb not perfect, but still better than reading 100 random reviews and waisting your time buying iems that don't suite you.
Is this PEQdb curve somewhere do be downloaded? Did it already substiute the "end-game IEM target" from just a few months ago?
graphs.hifiendgame.com/?share=Neutral_Target
@@sharuraudio so it is basically your target from some month ago with less bass and bit less ear gains between 1 and 3 kHz. Do you really prefer that?
Arya Unveiled
Well that's that then.

Moondrop Lan is underrated
Interesting the blessing 3 had not so favorable reviews. Too bright and weak bass for instance.
it got 5 stars from gizaudio and super review
@ yeah I’m not surprised super review likes them lol. I think the treble on blessing 3 is fine but it needs just a little more bass

i was wrong
