0:33 to be fair most of the “HOLY SHIT YOURE STILL ALIVE” comes from the fact that most of his uploads have gaps of 4-8 months between them
He experiments for 8 months and then it's safe to drink
Real
That's his respawn time
Styropyro presents himself as a little goofy goober who is a mad scientist in his videos, but honestly, he's extremely safety aware about what he's doing. It's one of those things where things become significantly less insane to do if you fully understand what you're actually doing.
I hope he sees the microwave video
MACROWAVE
Laser wave oven @@DemianGammons-xv3qf
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Microwave go brrrrr
Which one 😅
Despite how Styro comes off, he's a genuinely smartk kid and takes safety extremely seriously. Heck, I remember this one bit where he paraphrased a question from a comment asking if they can just use sunglasses instead of laser goggles. He broke character and just yelled an angry "NOOOOO" into the camera. Probably the only time I saw him break character.
I actually found the clip, it's titled "Can you use sunglasses or welding goggles while using strong lasers" Unfortunately the full video was taken down but thankfully it was archived.
Huh. I definitely need to see that one. 😮
The man is 30-something. He just discovered the solution to youth fountain water in that textbook that had the cancer cheese. Also maybe the absurd amount of testosterone he has The age debuff of the hormone was on a small integer and overflowed to some ludicrous buff.
Fun Fact, stomach acid and lemon juice have roughly the same ph. ~2-3 for lemon juice and ~1.5-3 for stomach acid.
No, it would be more like “so, in the demon core incident people saw brilliant blue light due to the reaction in their eyes, and that was from a wide dispersal, short term, low power option… lets direct it into a laser instead, then use that to power my electric jetpack wirelessly!
pretty sure you and everyone watching this already know but just to point it out again: "why is he still alive?" because he knows EXACTLY what he's doing, has taken all if not more precautions he possibly could and is basically playing this up for the camera (although he IS actually that crazy behind the camera)
Coca cola has a ph of 2.6. lemons have a pH of 2
The body is used to and much better handeling acidic solutions than somthing basic. He did not neutralise the acid instead he diluted it by around a factor 1000 wich is also the difference between pH 2 and pH -1. i dont recomend trying what he did but to me The most dangerus part of that experiment(without any information to the contrary and looking at the bottle) was ingesting a non food grade chemical (i hope it was a new bottle)
16:45 "People do that?!" Yes, my dad tricked me into doing it as a kid for laughs
my dad did it to teach me that you don't need a giant machine to cause a lot of damage.
Styropyro is very, VERY certified, several college degrees in like, electronics, engineering, and the like.
The thing he specializes in, I'd say, is doing things that, in spite of how ludicrously dangerous it looks, is completely safe because he has a full understanding of every single part in play.
Though, recently in his "i'm sick" video, he mentioned the possibility of cancer and basically said "well that was probably going to happen eventually... meh"
Luckily it was not cancer as we've found out a few months after the fact and after ALOT of testing on his end.
Just to clarify, the reason styropyro doesn’t get hurt in the end has nothing to do with amps, volts, current, or resistance. The reason why is because the frequency at which the current alternates is shorter than the amount of time it takes a nerve cell to activate.
In other words, a lethal amount of electricity is passing through his body, but a heart attack doesn’t occur because the nerves can’t react to the current.
You should watch the Soviet military technology video
OH! so you havent seen the death machine using soviet military tech. thats what the "plasma tesla coil" In the video is. and that is to this day my favorite styropyro video. Id love to see you react to that.
I choose to believe he didn't survive any of these. He just has an army of clones because it honestly makes more sense with this guy lol
If you like sour stuff eating lemons isn't that bad, i do it from time to time myself lmao
Sandpaper thredmills? Oh, you mean Houston Jones?
5:09 THE SKIN WAS STILL ON HE ATE THE RINDE
i don't like the texture of lemons but on some mornings where i was really sleepy but had to go to school i would take half a shot-glass full of lemon juice to really wake me up! Mind you i would not do that if i took the bus but my parents drove me to and from grade school
Clearly somebody has to watch Styropyros soviet death machine video. It's far more terrifying that just lighting steel wool on fire.
The man chases storms for funzies. He's just like that
If you wind up reacting to Electroboom sometime, might I recommend his "Showerhead of Doom" video? It's all about the showerheads common in developing countries that heat the water as it passes through, using exposed heating elements, and have to plug into an outlet nearby.
I love the part where he breaks his oven. Yes, that's the same video. Don't ask.
... I have questions. But I'm afraid to get answers. 😮
Legends of Avantris is a channel that does ttrpgs (like DnD) and other games. They animate sections of their sessions/streams into animated shorts which will be sure to make you laugh most of the time
chuckles the space clown is a returning character through most of their sessions and everybody loves him
21:45 Looks like ferrofluid, NileRed did a video about that once
I think the idea for the HCL lemonade was to just mix it with so much water that it becomes less acidic due to it all being displaced and partially neutralized by water and syrup, which is why they essentially said "A fuckton" when listing the amount of water needed...
i woke up and was blessed by this video
i have to say
i like to watch your content because it feels like introducing a "mentally sain human" to what ever the hell you are told to watch
becous some of us are so deep in the rabit hole of insanity, its refreshing to have a normal person to tell us how insane some of this stuff is
“There is ALWAYS a Madder Rrabbit!”
like is it not normal to eat the rest of a lemon/lime that you dont use
Flash blindness is why welders MUST wear special protective gear for their eyes, because that bright flash welding creates can cause permanent damage. I only know about it because my grandfather used to do welding a lot and had not worn the glasses once when he was a teen and he learned the hard way what it was, so he made sure anyone going into his work with him put a pair on even if you were just walking through the area. (I used to bring him and his coworkers sandwiches on Tuesdays so I had to wear them too.)
39:50 any vacuum tube will generate X-rays if you put enough voltage through it. My Crookes tube makes a lot even at 10-20kv, so I can only run it for short periods.
i love how everyone assume that Styropyro is human. pretty sure he is a time traveling robot at this point.
Thats one way to “burn a disk” eh?
😎
You need to reaction to styropyro building a fire death machine using Soviet tech.
Fun fact he's actually more qualified to do the Hydrochloric Lemonade video than ANY of his high voltage vids; hes actually a chemistry professor
Knowing Styro Pyro's entire schtick he is probably gonna become some sort of war crime houdini and create his own like laser and chemical filled death pit and escape from it somehow by some unholy miracle.
Oh look… a screwdriver causing another blue flash due to a crazy juryrigger scientist…
I love seeing you genuinely fear for this mans life and what he can do
20:16 Probably mineral oil, which is a liquid insulator, funnily enough...
They even use this technique at substations and for the transformers on the poles that feed your house.
(It's also not *just* mineral oil that does this, but it's reliable, and readily available at stores due to it being advertised to consumers as "baby oil", substations and other grid components probably use a special blend that you buy in bulk, if I had to guess)
You can find insulators in just about every form of matter, yes, even gasses. (Such as SF6(Sulfur Hexafluoride))
at 13:13 and 26:41 and 46:05 those are from another video titled "Building a fire death machine using soviet military tech" (I already commented about this one on the previous styropyro reaction, but I seriously cannot stress how amazingly f'ed up that one is)
V = IR
Yes a car battery CAN dump 1000A into something, but at 12v that's assuming the resistance is as low as 0.012 ohms (Pretty much raw copper wire). At human skin of roughly 1 megaohm, that 12v battery is delivering 0.000012 amps, or 12 microamps which is harmless. There's a difference between what power sources CAN deliver at max power, versus what they will deliver.
Similar for high voltage. A power source that can handle 300 watts of power output max (P=VI) at a million volts should hurt like hell (Triggering your nerves), but at 0.3mA it won't really do anything and probably you won't even feel anything, if not a slight tingling. However, notice I point out power. Because at high voltages AC works entirely different to DC and penetrate skin significantly easier
Wetting your skin can decrease resistance and let more current flow at a given voltage. And that high voltage does depend if it's AC or DC (Due to capacitance effects on AC voltage through materials), as well as where through the body it's going. Is it just causing thermal burns due to the resistance of the body? Or is it going through the heart in which a tiny current can kill? That's the difference between hand to feet versus hand to hand high voltage.
Also for AC power, frequency matters. Below or above a certain frequency, your body just stops responding to voltage and it stops hurting as much or at all. Hence why million volt solid state tesla coils are wound up to super high frequencies, a mixture of human safety, and the tesla coils own impedance matching formulas making these little coils typically quite small (Tesla coils are quite frequency/impedance sensitive)
People just go "Big number = scary", and it's really not the case. As styropyro shows clearly, there's so much more nuance than "Big number = scary"
If I remember correctly, styropyro has some pretty serious health problems nowadays
Licking a 9volt battery is how you tell if it still has a charge.
a undertale story you should def check out is "sooner or later you'll be mine"
A computer power supply would be delivery 1000 watts, not volts. I believe the highest voltage they deliver is the 12 volt rails with some exceptions
Just wait till you find out about the person who scares styropyro
There's a Russian guy who uploads videos of him being absolutely insane with electricity in his apartment that styropyro has called crazy in one of his videos years ago.
I saw him make a foil Mjolnir and had beyond lethal ammoints of electricity arcing into it while holding it above his head.
Actually the opposite, you don't want to be grounded when touching high power. The power can only travel through you if you're grounded so if you can stay isolated you should be safe. Just touching a hot cable won't hurt you, it's as soon as you touch anything else that you will. That includes you touching the ground. In engineering classes we had a tesla coil and a vandergraph. When we had people use it we had them stand on a textbook to stay isolated.
That sound like it hurts. (30:42)
Electroboom has a lot of funny fails
That's not smoke from the acid, it's acid vapors - pure hydrochloric acid boils at room temperature (also, what acids do to things usually isn't *burning* anyways), that's why he said 37% is the max, if there's more the excess would just completely boil away until it was down to that. So that's what the "smoke" is, HCl boiling into the air ready to be breathed in.
Also, the x-rays come from overloading the meter, not from the coil itself (unless you count the coil being what overloaded it as coming from that)
That was Electroboom, the two of them are friends (i know, shocker)
In Russia, we have a guy called Doctor Diu. He does similar shit, and tries ut different self-made tools. One of his best creations is Grinder For Hard To Reach Spots - a terrifying 5-6 ft long grinder with the blade o the ar end and conncected wih belts and welded metal bars. Or Gagarin, a thig similar to I Did The Thing's Magnum Hammer, a hammer that has a loading chamber used to lead gunpowder and similar to make it blow up o hit.
What the .... You mean by computers shock you and talking about a thousand bolts?
I think you are confused about volts, amps and frequencies.
A PC runs on 12, 5, 3 and 1 volts DC that's transformed from 110/220 volts (depending on the country). The thousand part is the watts.
The only reason it shocks you is because either you are messing with the power supply, your power supply is bad or one of those plus bad grounding. Also there is the frequency of the source and other stuff.
Yeah looking 9-volt batteries is fairly common it's a really easy way to figure out if it is charged or not and it's not too dangerous at all arguably safer than a butt plug I think I made any sleep I think brain is tired
Why is this & 2 other videos in the OSP playlist?!
hey Airier There Is A New Helluva Boss Short
40:20 If he was into biology, I think we could make a decent guess at the origins of COVID-19.
have you watched cancer cheese? (Testing CRAZY chemistry recipes from a 1933 formulary book (part 4))
also the acid was not neutralized at all just diluted.
You seemed to miss the your mom joke.
ya have not tested will 9v have juice left? :D
2:10 : pretty sure he didn’t say “Wikipedia”, but something like “pharmacapedia” or something?
5:16 : I don’t think “sociopathic” is the right word there?
Like. It’s a fruit. It’s fine. Pretty sure warheads candy is more sour than a lemon anyway.
And, regardless, sociopathy is about like, disregarding the well-being and preferences of others, right?
This is just something where it is mildly shocking how casually he does it, seeing as most people would find biting into a lemon to be pretty unpleasant.
I think you'd live electroboom. He's basically styro but exclusively with electricity. He blew the circuits in a hotel once
*Edit
Nevermind you said you watched him already
Saw him in a colab with LTT, but haven't checked out his channel yet.
If you think that tesla coil is scary, you should check out the demon circuit he made
Has he done the demon circuit
I do like lemons, I used to eat them slices of them.
You know licking 9v batteries is the main way to check if they are dead or not right?
Yo again Airier still putting watch hauntlich, chainsaw man the musical, and noochy boi
day 4 of asking you to react to "The Thought Movie (Undertale Comic Dub)"
came across a pajama sam vs dougdoug singing stronger than you video on a channel portersona
bro you need to watch some ferrofluid videos, it is one of the coolest substances out there.
Tonguecheck on batteries is a thing, my dude. 😀
How is this guy alive?
Well, if you know the rules, you can follow them. If you understand the rules, you can break them.
legends of aventuras is a great dnd campaign. but also watch nile red. your gonna find out dude is crazy in a different way. he doesn't do crazy stuff but the way he is super casual when revealing crazy stuff like buying uranium from ebay. and even getting the government on his ass
11:25 Bro you got that wrong Boeing grounded is the thing that Killa you
You know you can sort your tabs into groups dude?
He killed pickle rick
You are getting things wrong. In fact, the safest thing to do is not to be grounded, because if you are not grounded, there is no potential difference. The shock is caused by the potential difference between two cables with different potentials, such as a phase with another phase or a phase with the neutral. The shock can be caused by the potential difference between an electrical cable and the ground. If you are grounded and you touch a live wire, you will get a shock. The energy will travel from the wire through your body to the ground. Now, if you are isolated from the ground, nothing will happen because you are isolated. This is why birds do not get shocked by wires. It is also why people who perform maintenance on high-voltage live lines do not get shocked, because these towers and lines are not turned off for maintenance. If you turn off one of these towers, you will lose power to an entire city.
gravity weak also its not the curent that kill its either your body failing or the heat/explosion
At 23:45 you say something EXTREMELY incorrect. Computer power supplies do NOT have 1000 volts. They (can) have 1000 WATTS, which is (more or less) volts times amps. That said, don't go poking around power supplies; the caps inside can definitely cause problems.
I highly recommend you watch the 100 car battery styropyro video!!
You should def check out thought emporium
Wait until you react to electroboom
I literally wonder how he is still alive
People with little to no understanding of how electricity work reacting and talking about electricity.
I'm not saying what he's doing is not dangerous. What I'm saying is you can be absolutely safe when doing these (EMPHASIS HERE) IN A LAB😂😂😂
Battery video next, please.
If you never liked a battery then i think you are the weird one. You literally can start a conversation by "you know that feeling when you lick a battery?"
Cars are very safe during storm bc whole frame works like faradays cage. You know, the thing used when you want to be REALLY close to tesla coil.
How are they still alive just don't even ask
