Recently got one of these for chistmas. I've been snowboarding for about two seasons not including this one. My parents got me this board so I could go more often because the rentals are so shit and so expensive. So far I absolutely love it.

just an FYI to anyone watching this video due to having interest in the Nidecker Merc: The 2019 Nidecker Merc is different than the 2018 Flow Merc. The Nidecker Merc has a rocker/camber/rocker profile and a single sidecut, whereas the Flow Merc has that gullwing "EZ Rock" profile and a progressive sidecut. The Flow Merc also utilizes some urethane in the core whereas the Nidecker has an all wood core.
I ordered the Nidecker Merc but returned it in favor of the 2018 Flow Merc. The Nidecker board was great quality and looked really nice, but I wanted the features in the older model.

@@AngrySnowboarder just thought I'd throw this out there.....I confirmed today with Nidecker that the Flow Gap is the same as the Nidecker Play.

How will this board hold up long term?

Depends. Are you a moron that runs over rocks and doesn't take care of your gear? If so, probably won't. If you know how to take care of your stuff, just fine.

I still own my flow merc from 2013 and i used it till last season. Often i treaded the board like shit ,didnt wax for 2 years or riding on almost no snow but it still looks pretty good. On my opinion this is the perfect board to progress on.
