      I had an iPhone 13 Pro Max for a week and returned it haha had to go back to my OnePlus. Crazy how it's stagnant nowadays.

      I am actually currently daily driving the OnePlus 12 now. I absolutely love it, although I do still miss my 7T Pro McLaren 🥲 I have it as a back up device now. The new device is definitely worth its price if you're looking to upgrade. I'll have a video out about the OnePlus 12 soon ☺️

    The rate at which phones become "obsolete" is ridiculous; I bet that this phone could run android 13 & even 14 just fine, smh.
    I have a Pixel 4a that has android 13 and it's definitely starting to show it's age hardware wise.

    • @miggythetechguy
      @miggythetechguy  Год назад +1

      Yeah my phone could definitely be EASILY running android 13, but of course they stop supporting it 😭 as for your pixel 4a that phone was intended to be midrange which is great for the short term, but really starts to show why most mid range devices are a bad investment for the long term. I wish that the smartphone market was different 😔

      I just got a great deal on a OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 in solid condition. I wanna grab one of all the series devices. As for the OnePlus 7T Pro I can see why you would want Oxygen OS 13. I wish the ROM community was as bountiful as it used to be back in the day! They used to be on top of that kinda stuff. Glad to hear you're still enjoying your devices!!

    maybe they fixed it on the 7t pro but I had two 7 pros and they both got screen burn if I go on ebay for a used 7pro I see nothing but screen burn yet it's still my favorite phone.

    • @miggythetechguy
      @miggythetechguy  Год назад +2

      When I was researching on eBay I saw a bunch of devices with screen burn in as well. I feel like that's just a result of them being used so heavily since it's such a great device!! My mom has one and she always keeps it high brightness and forgot to turn off the display while she kept in on the counter for hours and now it has some pretty major screen burn in, unfortunately. 🥲

    I just wanted to get the one plus 7pro now do you think it will still hold up till 2024 or more I'm not worried by the the android update now cos I'm still on Android 9

      @miggythetechguy  Год назад +1

      Honestly if you're not worried about updates it could last you a few more years for sure. It runs so fast and smooth you'll likely be good for another few.

    I like OnePlus company in general, using 11r right now. But I don't like their software obsolescence.
    Once the phone becomes 1-2 generations old, their software builds that they roll becomes very very buggy. They don't focus on optimization for older models

    • @miggythetechguy
      @miggythetechguy  Год назад

      Yeah I wish they would focus on optimization tbh!

    I currently use a Galaxy S22 plus. I've been having using with it lagging, not sure if it's the phone or the software thats causing these issues. I would love to upgrade, what devices would you recommend?

    • @miggythetechguy
      @miggythetechguy  Год назад +2

      I think it has something to do with the software because I have been having issues with Android 13 on my OnePlus 10 Pro. It also has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 like your phone has so maybe it's a combination of both those things that are causing the issue! As for what phone I'd recommend going with a newer Samsung like the s23 series if you've got the money or maybe going the refurbished route and using an older flagship from 2020-2021!

      I'm having the same problems it's seriously turning me against Samsung paying over $1,200 new for a phone for it to be laggy & stuttery kinda sucks Im gonna trade it to Samsung for a S23U here very soon I hope I'll be able to keep that one for at least 3 years before having this happen again?

      @@katinasoutherland7693the S23 Ultra seems to be very lag free with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 so hopefully it holds up! 🤞

    I had dis discussion with my friend 2days ago about the stalness of phones the past 3 years. If there is gonna be new tech it will be on the software side not hardware which the likes of xiaomi and oneplus are already doing. Samsung is so stale now even if i had the money i aint buying it again until i see something different. Apple ia trying with dynamic island but other than that, its staleness everywhere. Maybe ita 144hz or 160hz next.

      I 100% agree. I'm hoping for something to WOW me 😭 haha the OnePlus 11 I just got a little bit ago (just dropped a video on it) is a solid phone, but I still miss using my OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren.
