    If you could only pick one, would you stay here or the Conrad you visited?

      @@MrBlane85 it really depends on what vibe you want. I really enjoy nightlife and noisy crowded areas (been enough times that I don't need to sightsee anything) and so I would choose the Conrad over the millennium. But if I wanted a more serene and cultural experience I would stay in the millenium as its near so many temples and the river. Shopping wise both are near huge malls, both have a great breakfast (millenium has the better one in my opinion because of the view and terrace and more spaced out), both have lounges and both have great pools. So in my opinion it's about whether you want to be closer to all the mayhem and partying or have a more peaceful exploratory experience. Millenium has its own water taxi to get you to the nearest public transport (sathorn pier) and conrad a little bus to take you to the ploenchit bts station.

    I was there in November, is the best breakfast that I ever ate.
    Do you remember the buffet price?

      I agree! Breakfast is fantastic and especially the view of the river! Rooms could be nicer and the lounge view I though was amazing too! Thanks for watching!

      @Ateyaaa The Anantara riverside Bangkok is a really amazing and iconic hotel! Has an amazing buffet that I went to. Another nice one is the Avani. But in general I tend to stay in Sukhumvit area so I don't have so much experience with hotels near the river.

    this was the worst hotel i ever stayed at in bangkok. go try rosewood and mandarin hotel and youll know what a true 5 star really is

      How come you had such a bad stay? What happened? Mandarin rates were comparatively too high for us so far!

      @@doolyb i actually stayed there 2 weeks ago. i decided to stay at rosewood for 4 days and mill Hilton for 3 days.. you should try rosewood if you ever get the chance.
      when i stayed at mill Hilton i booked the panoramic view and for some odd reason it is the furthest room in the hotel but it was infested with mosquitos.. no windows to open for them to fly out so it made no sense how they got there.. i complained because the mosquitos bit my wife face 5 times in a few hours of being there.. they brought a repellent that didn't even work.. the buffet for the executive room was very cheap.. for a hotel that claims to be 5 star it did not feel like 5 star at all.. when i was checking out i called them to come help grab our luggage's and 20 minutes later no one came.. i called a second time and waited 10 minutes.. sti;l no one come to help.. so we bring our luggage's down and complain how come they were so slow the rep behind the desk said we didn't call them to help and also say we don't know how to dial for concierge ( wtf ? i stay many hotels before im not stupid. ) then they also try to accuse me for smoking in the room so they wanted to charge me 8000 baht and i told them to check the cameras because even 1 a,m or 2 a.m i am walking downstairs to have a smoke.. the only good thing about this place that it was a 3 minute walk to IconSiam.. but i found siam paragon and central world more fun than Iconsiam.

    How far from BTS or MRT?

    • @doolyb
      @doolyb  4 месяца назад +1

      Really far actually on foot . So I would take a bus from icon siam to the MRT or bts station or I would suggest taking the free shuttle boat across to sathorn pier and taking the Silom line from there.
