The "going to Evo" wasn't from Watchers. It was the Shapeshifters who sent them there, because they were promised some fun by the Watchers, but Grian handled them and they didn't get as much fun as they were promised

Idea, simultaniously to this event, some hermits (possibly the boatem crew) are teleported to YHS but with past highschool grian being there
In the video, X says that the server’s code turned Grian into his high school self. So there was no time travel involved, but rather age regression.
