  • In todays Episode of The Chronicles of Kayla we're baling the rest of those oats using the RB.4160V .. we put up 443 WET bales that will go through a 21 day fermentation process just like corn silage would -- these bales were put up at a high moisture rate. We wrapped these bales, shutting off the air - that will insile -- think of brewing beer -- it will take the starches and turn to sugars - - making it an excellent feed source for our cow calf operation this winter!!!

    The skid steer has lost a track, the bale wrapped is down, and rain is coming. This is called farming. Nice video. The season's pace is picking up. You are never alone. God will never leave you. He also has provided friend near and far, neighbors. Some come to fields with their equipment and help. Others are just in the virtual buddy seat. Be safe and God Bless.

    I agree with the other comments, since I started watching you guys, you have come such a long way beautiful equipment, beautiful land, beautiful country. I’d rather watch you guys anytime than these other giant RUclips farmers but one thing is for sure. You all work very hard.

    Lots of beeps are great ! You are doing great with this thick harvest.
    Need to drop the comment about 'see you on the buddy seat' as you are rarely on the buddy seat.

    Has Jason ever flipped the bobcat going fast, with a bale on it? Does ithe bobcat do any damage driving on the fields like that? Are the oats like ones that get sold to Quaker? Thanks. You're doing great!!

      We have nose dived it all the time - getting too much weight out front. But never flipped it over. - these were a forage oat style.

    Ask a massive rep what they might have or where it can go out of the way and hold up to vibration and bumps.

    So will those lines of wrapped bales ever get moved or sold individually and loaded from there?

    • @ChroniclesofKayla
      @ChroniclesofKayla  Месяц назад +1

      Not sold, we’ll move them 10 or so at a time to the other farm this winter and mix into our TMR ration for our cow calf operation

    The oats look heavy and should make good feed . How well did they head out? What per cent is the moisture? Hope all will work out well.

    Dumb question perhaps but....why do you drive on the oats while cutting? Need it to dry slower for some reason? Pushing the feed into the dirt gets more ash in it and inhibits fermentation because of soil bacteria in there. Your work ethic is unmatched by the way.
