      You’re right I won’t … but I know what it was like 5-10-15 years ago when we were just getting it started … we’ve worked hard to be at this point.

      We sell them - - our main paycheck at the end of the day relies on our small squares.

    You just wrapped up hay season. Now you're on straw? Are they used for different things and how are they different?

    • @gregorycross612
      @gregorycross612 15 дней назад

      Straw can be used to supplement (filler) volume into quality good feed. The seed was removed by combine and this is the 'leftovers'. It can also be used as dry matter for 'bedding' in stalls for penned livestock.

    Does your AC do a good job of keeping the cab cool in really hot temperatures? 107 here today, been out working up ground, AC just barely doing its job. Warmer here in the inland PNW, the next 6 or 7 days, maybe around 111 degrees.
    Best of the 4th of July to you folks.

    • @ChroniclesofKayla
      @ChroniclesofKayla  13 дней назад

      Honestly for the most part. Making sure they’re blown out at the end of the day really is a key component when in the straw fields esp with all the dust & chaff in the air

    Have you ever thought of a big baler ? I know they are expensive but seems you have to go so slow with thr small bailey. It does great but for commercial applications if it would help?

    • @ChroniclesofKayla
      @ChroniclesofKayla  17 дней назад

      We have a large square baler - - it is currently down for right now.

    • @gregjames5070
      @gregjames5070 17 дней назад

      They don’t want round bales or they’d have one. Why do people like you always try to tell other people what to to do? That bale baron cost as much as three round balers.

    Kayla what is the horse power of your tractor and I assume that the tractor has a 30 GPM hydraulic capacity pump for the baron?

    • @ChroniclesofKayla
      @ChroniclesofKayla  12 дней назад

      I run a MF 6S.165 HP tractor that requires at LEAST a 30 gpm hydraulic pump & power beyond for the Baron - I honestly wonder if maybe stepping up a little more might back a better difference. But we’ll see how things go this fall & make adjustments- -

    Not trying to be a butt or tell you how to do things, but if you use a DJI drone, when your filming turn it to cinematic mode and your movements will be a lot less dramatic and your video will look a lot more professional. I know how it is because I usually do all my filming/drone myself.

    • @ChroniclesofKayla
      @ChroniclesofKayla  17 дней назад +1

      I feel blessed - - because there’s been days/ weeks & years where we didn’t have “fancy” ac. … and if we did have a cab the old tractor AC may not even be working.
