Easy to follow and no journalist presentation to fast forward through. Some of you might find your plug is in a slightly different position and orientation, but it works the same.
Many thanks for this video. Getting that plastic off would have been a nightmare without seeing you do it. Also I'm currently fitting a 12 V socket so again - a great guide. ... One thing I noticed on my bike was a tricky kind of hook clip near the bottom, directly below the Honda badge - you can see it through one of the small holes and reach in to press it out.
Hy, thank you very much for that video. Unfortunately I miss on my 2023 Twin the connector on the top to connect the socket with. The holder on the left is empty on my twin. I will need to go to the Honda workshop.. with a placed socket but no opposite connector..
Great video! What type of plug the OEM socket uses? Seems to be Sumitomo HX 060? Wouldn't it be better to install an aftermarket USB socket and not the OEM socket. For OEM you need another adapter for USB connection anyway.
hello, good video thanks... Is this socket placed the same for all Africa Twin models after the redesigned version year 2016?.... I have an AT 2016 and want to install led lights to this accessory socket so the leds go off after I take the key off... Thx!
Sorry I am not to familiar the previous model. The power on this socket is a good source of acc power but be aware that it’s has low amps and may not be suitable for lights.
Thanks for a clear, easy to follow video without any unnecessary crap.!! Well done, thank you.
You’re welcome and thanks for the compliments.

Glad it helped. Are you talking about the tan right below the gas tank?
@@MacrossGarage The one I found was low down - this photos shows where: drive.google.com/file/d/1JrGKMEHwH4iLU4F5J3FyvQya5TgkaBaa/view?usp=sharing

I used an adapter from Amazon. I like the oem plug and play. Also you can get different adapters.
Is it possible to use this socket for connecting a battery charger during the winter? E.g. the canbus optimate 4?
To the acc socket? Probably not ideal because it only gets power when the key is on.
Where did you order the part. Trying to find online for my 2021
I ordered it through my local Honda dealer. eBay has them as well.

how much output can you draw from that 12v plug?
It's labeled 2amp. I have no way to test it yet.
