Probably better than my way but I just do the pour over with regular Old Maxwell House - 60% of the time it works every time!..... What brand of coffee y'all drink out there? I'll also throw in chock full of nuts and Folgers from time to time. Price has a lot to do with it these days!!!
I have cut my coffee consumption down to one or 2 cups in the morning. This allows me to make coffee like I like it instead of how whoever makes those little plastic cups thinks it should be.
@@SurvivalOnPurpose I'm with you Brian! I have a Keurig and to get a proper cup out of that thing is expensive. French press or strong pour over for me. Camping got my hooked on black coffee (so much easier) now I just want the pure coffee goodness! Good coffee is like life...If it isn't making your heart palpitate you're not doing it right! LOL.
My father-in-law is an impulse buyer to the max. He bought one. Somehow I have it now. It works. I regularly use a French Press, which is just portable. The only difference is you can make stronger coffee quicker with the Aeropress. It works, I just haven't used it that much.
You can Google aeropress championships for recipes and techniques. I don't know if there is any new techniques for the XL. Aeropress has parts available, like the plunger, cap, etc. If you're going to store the plunger part inside the cylinder, push the plunger all the way down. The lip if the plunger will pop out a tiny bit, there by relaxing the rubbery part. If you leave the rubbery part compressed all the time. It will get where it doesn't seal all that well. When you push the plunger all the way down the cap is ajar. That's where you might want to order another . The only issues for me is keeping track of all the parts. Probably a good idea to keep a spare or two on hand. It makes great coffee Sorry this is so long ATB.
I've spent up to $1k on a home espresso maker trying out a few different ones. The Aeropress is by far the best, I've had mine for close to 15 years.
Looks good 👍
Nice video but check your math on the filters, lol
Yeah, I should never do math on camera :-)
Pronounce..car. raff
I told you this was AWESOME.
Just like HAWG Holsters
So it’s a French press with paper filters you have to buy. Awesome.

@mikebtyant8082 way more than a couple of cups :-)

I like it better than my French press for two main reasons: 1) I don’t need a special grind like many French presses recommend & 2) it’s faster

It's pronounced kah raff. I'm digging your shirt.👍
Cool, thanks
Try getting an electric kettle to heat your coffee water in the house. You'll never go back to stove top😊
Then I would miss the joy of having a little fire in my house.
Nice.
I like coffee
works very good
Yes it does
How does it compare to coffee made in a French press?
It’s faster and just as good
It IS a french press, it simply uses a replaceable paper filter instead of the metal screen. You'll get less particulate with the Aeropress.
Good review Brian , thanks for sharing YAH bless !
I use one of those old electric Corningware pots. I'd definitely consider this one for traveling though.
It is pretty handy.
Nice video.
Thanks!
