This song is about Floor’s mother, who has rheumatoid arthritis, and apparently struggled with it a lot when Floor was growing up.
Seen her at one of her first solo shows, just before Covid kicked in. Performed this song, nearly broke at the end. Even some more then. I teared up and looking around, half the venue seemed to have watery eyes. So incredibly Strong of Floor. Being able to sing this most personal song.
That Last little Quirk in Her Voice brings out the Human Side of Floor, Beautiful Lyrics and Story Telling, It just Shows her Connection the Art of Music and the Connection to the Lives of the People. Good Reaction and another Look inside your Life,, Thank You for Your Time.
This was the only live concert I've seen from Floor so far and it was just beautiful and funy. To be honest, when she sang Strong I couldn't see very much as my eyes were full of tears. For me that was the most touching moment of the concert and tears flowed in the audience.
I am somewhat surprised that Floor can bring herself to sing "Strong" live, given how strongly she feels and what the song means to her. It was very beautiful and touching, so I am glad that she was able to do it. I am glad that you are doing better too. Thank you for putting forth the effort you do!

My mother had a heart condition. We lost her in march 2020 and sometimes I miss her so much. She was a mother like you, like Floor's mother, staying strong all the time, until the last moment of her life. This song is very dear to me, reminds me of her. Can't stop crying when I hear it.
When Floor cries I think we all break a little with her and cry too. If you see this one day Floor, we love you so much. And we love you too, Debbie ❤️
If you are dealing with pain or illness or some one you love is going through it, its hard not to get emotional when she sings this song. She has commented that she is an empath so she feels things strongly but she said it works both ways which helps her as a singer. It makes her effective at communicating emotion.

You should consider doing this whole concert - it incredible. It's that concert Floor crowd-funded at put on the net for free!! - including a 15 minutes back ground - strong stuff.
I am amazed that Floor can perform this song live, knowing how deep and heartfelt it is. But it is a very important song - the message is so important and strong ❤

I can't watch this song/video because I feel her pain. I feel yours too, you are a great person. I watched this again, cried again (I am not a guy that cries easily in life brought up that way) Floor brings that out. It is beyond my control besides just not listening to her. That will never happen.

This is one of the most beautiful songs that Floor sings, and is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. One thing I've observed in life is that every mother, to some extent, has had to do exactly as this song says - to power through the pains that life gives you without showing that to their children. And for that I have only the greatest respect. And of course, only recently Floor has had to do just that with her own daughter; she must have had this in mind while she was dealing with the cancer issues.
I also have an immense amount of respect for you, for having had to suffer through two years bedridden - I can't even imagine! All the best to you! 🙂

I love delicate she can sing when required by the song. And we all know how well she can belt too. So much talent in this woman. It's no wonder why she is so popular. I can't wait to see what's in store for us with the new Nightwish album. Floor's solo album was also just released...gonna have to check that out, although many of her songs had already been released as singles. Cheers!

Floor is a vocal beast with amazing control!!!!
Amsterdam was, as far as I know, the first performance of this song by Floor where she didn't have to cry at the end.
There was a few seconds at the end of the show,
coming off stage, it hit her really hard, not only this song,
but the lovely reaction of the audience,
reserved Netherlanders, not used to standing up and yelling.
We love her all the more, she is a real star.
Hi QQ. Christina Algate's comment reminded me to look up one of the very few performances of this beautiful After Forever song in which Floor manages to pull through and finish the song. During the soundcheck tears flowed tho, which is why "Uncle Henk" hands her a hanky when he strolls by around 4 minutes.
Floor then tells the audience that she almost never manages to sing it w/o her voice breaking and that she's quite proud of herself there. Wonderful performance, proving that (as commenter OD noticed): "Floor sounds better live recorded with a smartphone than many others can't even manage in the studio with autotune." - Cheers from Amsterdam!

Floor hides her pain quite well on this version there's another version were her voice trembles and you can feel how close she is to crying. But purhaps it's maybe a bit hard on your heart?. I recognize exactly what is meant by the way we hide the pain on the inside because I, too, have shared that problem, slowly growing during the past 30 years. Erik Grönwall won Swedish Idol back in 2010 and fronted the Metal band H.E.A.T. after that. Erik made his US debut in April 2018 in NBC's live broadcast of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Jesus Christ Superstar as the disciple Simon Ivraren.
But in the beginning of 2021, he did not feel too well and was diagnosed with leukemia and was forced to undergo a bone marrow transplant to recover.
In early 2022 he was contacted by his youth favorite band, Skid Row from USA. They wanted him to become their new frontman and singer. I guess that they had heard about him and his many covers of one of their biggest hits "18 And Life".

Go to Revamp ( her former band) with the Lady Gaga cover Bad Romance , live in Sittard ( The Netherlands)….she nailed this song with her presentation of her interpretation of the song. so good…and funny to watch a glad Floor.
