    3:32 - that center hole IS supposed to be there and is probably there to screw a bar end into. That’s what I needed to know! Thank you.

    Going to attempt to sand down the plastic tube. I'm leaving it on the assembly and just use a Dremel with sander. Will see

    The bar weights you just unscrew. The screws come right off. The bar weights spin, but the screw screws into a secure, non-moving center. no tape or nothing needed, at least on my 2013.

      Levi Wilbert mine was super tight, didn’t want to strip the screw and deal with that mess.

      I just replaced my bar weights with non stock. You need to remove the weight, screw a bolt back in that you don't mind wasting, grab the bolt with some tool and gently hammer it out. On the 2005 blade it's a quite long center piece, held in place by some rubbers and metal pieces that expands it in the center.

      I haven't looked at my 14 CBR500r since November but I seem to remember the bar weights spinning independently from the screw....
      The whole tape thing seems pointless.
      Edit: Am I wrong to think this? Because come spring time my new grips and my new throttle tube will be put on and I need to know!

    how did you remove the throttle cables im clueless

    • @ThomasSoraci
      @ThomasSoraci  6 лет назад

      esanchezu it's pretty much a standard 2 cable system, work one cable off by taking the end of one of the cables from where it is in the throttle, then the second comes out easily. You have to remove the black plastic housing that covers the ends of the cables to see what I'm talking about. Also make sure you loosen the throttle adjustment nuts on both cables. Should be in the manual but I would just Google "replacing motorcycle throttle cables" as they all pretty much work the same way.

      @ThomasSoraci  4 года назад

      haha just wrap tape around the bar ends and your grips and it should hold them so you can break the screw loose!

    • @ikbendusan

      i used an impact screwdriver and that worked. needed an extra person to hold the bar end though. also needed to replace the screw because it was fucked

      TIL: Be careful when you replace the grip on the throttle side. Too much pressure beyond the possible movement of the throttle will break the plastic piece holding the throttle wires.
