Thank you for sharing your skills. Though I don't have a serger I find this very informative. I picked up some tips which are applicable with normal sewing machine. Thank you.
Excellent information, thank you. What about attaching stretch lace, on the leg and waist edges of underwear, for example? Would that work? I recently purchased a Babylock Acclaim and have also bought the lace applicator
Hi, Yes, stretch lace will work in the same process as shown. Double check on how much stretch the lace has for pulling on and off your body. Congratulations on purchasing the Acclaim and the Lace Applicator foot will be great for lots of techniques along with applying lace. Thanks for watching!
I’ve only just discovered your channel and finding your videos really useful for helping me to understand how to use the various feet etc - I’m now binge watching! Thank you so much for sharing your expertise!
Hi JC, glad you found my RUclips channel and please let me know if you have questions. And tell your sewing/serger friends to subscribe. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much. I have watched 2 of your uploads now and I have learned so much. I am a newbie to serging and this has helped me greatly. New subbie. Thanks from Ireland.
Hi Rita, When I bought the tube turners (which was a long time ago), the mount either came with them or was available to purchase. Am not sure whether it was included, but it fits each tube size perfectly. It’s a clear plexiglass and has screw holes for mounting on a wall. Thanks for watching Serger Tip Clips-glad they’re helpful!
Thanks for watching Serger Tip Clips from Ireland! Will be happy to answer your questions . My husband and I visited Ireland and I found my paternal grandmothers childhood home outside of Cork . Beautiful country and lovely friendly people. Would love to go back and visit again!
I don't think BERNINA has a lace applicator foot yet. The Tip Clip was done on a Babylock serger. But stay tuned. There are new feet and accessories coming! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the fantastic videos! I have learnt so much from you! Question...in your back ground of your studio i see you have the tube turners...can i ask what you are using to mount them to the wall? Thank you again!!
Hi Cindy, Thanks-always happy to meet and help new serger owners. Send along any questions (even if they aren't related to a Tip Clip. You might also find my book Serger Essentials Master the basics & beyond helpful too. It's available on my website and Amazon.
Hi thanks for this video it was very clear. I have an ovation that im gradually getting familiar with. If i wanted to make some briefs or pajama shorts in a stretch jersey knit, and then add a stretch lace trim would i add that with the elastic foot? Whereas if i wanted to add a woven lace onto something would i them use this lace foot?
I would use the lace app foot for both. Test with scrap fabric and purchase some extra lace to experiment with. You may want to test several differential feed settings. Let me know if you need more help-thanks!
You would follow the instructions in the video to attach the lace to the handkerchief on each side and overlap the lace edges at each corner. Then on your sewing machine, stitch the the overlapped lace corners at a 45° angle to miter the corners. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
I just found your channel. I do not use the accessories to my machine or server. This video is perfect timing. You explained everything so well

Does Bernina have a foot for lace?
Not Yet, but you could use the blindstitch foot that also has a flange (guide) on it. Thanks for watching Serger Tip Clips!
