The only problem is if you bought the Mini 3 pro with the RC controller . As of now you have no way to install 3rd party apps. With 48mp I'm going to assume most pilots will use this little drone over the heavier drones that you can hear from the moon. Just watch out for those birds. I would love to see a demo with the 48mp setting and comparing it to like the Inspire 2. Even though the Inspire 3 is now out.
What’s a Bayer filter? Let’s start from the beginning - a Bayer filter is a colorful mosaic of Red, Green and Blue filters that allows a digital sensor to capture color photos. Semiconductor pixels don’t “see” color, they only capture the amount of light that hits them, so without a filter you will get a Black & White photo. A Quad Bayer filter is a bit of a misnomer as it’s actually the same as a regular Bayer filter. What really changes is not the filter but the sensor behind it - these new sensors put four pixels behind each color square instead of just one. So, really these 48MP Quad Bayer sensors can’t offer much more detail than a 12MP sensor. Sensor and drone makers alike will tell you that smarter demosaicing algorithms can capture more detail, but our experience is that the gain is small - if there’s a gain to be had at all.

Hey, just a heads up on your ebook page there are done minor spelling issues that make it look like a bot wrote it or something. The first one is "What is photogrammetry? Understand what photogrammetry is and where is came from" It should be "and where it came from." It might help though if you went into a tiny bit of detail that painted a picture in a person's mind and didn't just seen like a generic webform response. And then there is the word "software's" further down that should not have that apostrophe. And i think overall there were a couple of missing periods at the ends of paragraphs. I hope this helps!

I am interested in using this for Search and Rescue to map some common canyons where people get cliffed out and require technical rope rescues. I wonder how it would do for that type of terrain.
Live it works great. Not super good in high wind. We use them in public safety for SAR with thermal cameras. These automated fly throughs wouldn't be very helpful for that but maybe would be good for training models.
@@LILOREB yeah I was thinking for training. LASD is finally starting to get traction on a drone program for SAR. It’s easier for us to call a predator in than launch our own 🤣
maybe in known higher risk areas having a much higher quality mapping of the area provided by one of these drones it may be easier to perform an efficient search with lower risks? I don't perform SAR but i imagine a higher quality map is always helpful (provided tree cover isn't too much of an issue)

2. How to edit a created map. Is it possible to open it in SketchUp or AutoCAD and draw sth? I want to make a map of my garden and project sth in it ,is it possible?
but does the mini 3 have a mechanical shutter? arent you going to get blurr and warping?
It is a good news indid. dose the dronelink can be install on DJI Mini Pro DJI RC?
If I want finer grained control of the camera to be able to focus/zoom on things that I see while it's doing its mission, how is that implemented?
I'm a new licensed pilot, am i able to do this with an apple phone ?
Hey, just a heads up on your ebook page there are done minor spelling issues that make it look like a bot wrote it or something.
The first one is "What is photogrammetry?
Understand what photogrammetry is and where is came from"
It should be "and where it came from." It might help though if you went into a tiny bit of detail that painted a picture in a person's mind and didn't just seen like a generic webform response.
And then there is the word "software's" further down that should not have that apostrophe. And i think overall there were a couple of missing periods at the ends of paragraphs.
I hope this helps!
Oh, also the ebook didn't automatically download when I submitted the form, and event checking the email and following the link I didn't find it. Where is this ebook? And if it didn't automatically download, am I still entered in the contest? Thanks
Right on! I am working on my 107 license right now and have a mini 3 pro to practice and get shots of my kids! i want to get into photogrametry since i do IT And most of my clients are construction!
do you know if there are RTK add-ons for the Mini's?
DroneLink developing a new framework for their SDK from scratch. Currently, the framework is in beta and a simple task like mapping 300 images resulted in more than 10 crashes during my testing.
I experienced similar results hence why I stated the crashes in the video.
This is so sick. What do people use these maps for? Can someone lay out some good examples?
Where are you looking for customers?
Just now looking into mapping options (between this and Litchi mainly) for my Air 2S, this video helped! Thanks!!
I've got drone link to fly the mini 3 pro- whats a (not as costly) way to compile the ortho? Drone deploy is a bit expensive.
WebODM is a great option and its free
Just found out the Mavic 3 classic I just got doesn’t have an SDK… WHY???😭
Is the quality of this model good enough to sell to clients? Also does the program work with the RC controller?
I saw that the DJI Integra Goggles are listing the Mini 3 Pro as being compatible - is that confirmed by anyone as yet? At least in being able to use the Integra Goggles to view the camera images like a FPV while still controlling it via the RC controls? Or more a 'future feature'?
I have the DJI Mini 3 (controller with a screen -- not the RC-N1). can i still make this 3rd party softward with dronelink work if I get an android device?
How can we improve the quality of the model? It would need to be aot better to sell.
Thanks! Have you used Dronelink on the RC Pro with the Mini 3 Pro?
Does the Air 2S have an SDK and can you do the same with it as in this video?
Yes
What if we plan the flight from web but we realize that there are many obstacles on the site? Im a newbie
Which paid version of dronelink would you recommend for a hobbyist intent on traversing to commercial?
is it possible to still buy just the DJI RC-N1 on it's own in canada? or anywhere in the world brand new?
Good video tutorial OK that is understood.... what I'm being co fused about is when I ask a question about the mini 3 wether on youtube or google... the answer is always the mini 3 pro.... no that's not what I'm asking. I do wanna know is the rc controller compatible with the mini 3??? Can U Help Please.... Thank U 😊
In this video I am using the mini 3 so it works with both
So i got done link expert but i have the DJI RC controller, Trying to figure out the setup but would be cool to see a demo of that controller with this application too!
Are you having any problems currently? I just got an RC N1 and have tried everything in my power to get the mini 3 pro to connect. I keep getting telemetry errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
How do your clients view the data after you sell it to them ?
Great! Would however love to know how the results compare with the phantom 4 pro.
I might have to do that!
Hey Dylan! I've got a question about the best OS to accompany DJI drones in projects. Some apps need windows others android, so shall I go for Windows labtop, or would a new tablet able to hold ? Or maybe i need both?
Btw this is only for the out in the field needs (got a main desktop in office)
I personally have both a windows and mac laptop and desktop at home. For the field I prefer a mac laptop and then IOS device for mission planning and app control. This beta however needs an android device so there's that to consider.
@@DylanGorman Thanks for the info! What IOS device do you use for mission planning and app control out in the field? I am mainly an Android/Windows user so I am not very familiar with Mac products.
It’s easier for us to call a predator in than launch our own 🤣
@@LILOREB What thermal camera are you using on the Mini 3?
maybe in known higher risk areas having a much higher quality mapping of the area provided by one of these drones it may be easier to perform an efficient search with lower risks? I don't perform SAR but i imagine a higher quality map is always helpful (provided tree cover isn't too much of an issue)
@@Mauronic100 What is LASD? TIA. 🙄
Can this be done using the RC remote without an android device ?
Is it better in you experience to have the remote paired with a phone ? I am hesitating between the two options
Are there free or cheaper apps than drone deploy, this one is more for the professional business user.
Check out WebODM or Maps Made Easy
Sadly only works on mini 2
Does this also apply to the Mini 2 SE? Please please please lolol this little guy is so fun (The DJI Mini 2 SE, not Dylan lol)
What Dronelink app plan do you subscribe? Hobbyist or Professional plan?
thx dude you're awesome, keep up the good work
Hey Dylan - Can you please confirm that this process runs on the DJI mini 3 pro. I'm a bit annoyed that I can't do this with my Mavic 3 or can I
Yes it works with the mini 3 pro
Can i use the dronelink app on my smart remote?
Yes
You can use the DJI RC Pro, not the DJI RC.
