  • USS Texas (BB-35). The historic Battleship Texas is making strides on its $75 million restoration in Galveston, Texas. It represents over 200,000 man-hours put in. The 112-year-old ship lunched on 18 May 1912, will undergo further restorations for the next 11-17 months. The ship is expected to be done by 2026.
    USS Texas is the last surviving battleship that served in both world wars.
    The length of the ship is 573 ft. Its height: 132 ft (approx. waterline to radar on top of foremast). Its complement 1,042 officers and men.
