I ended up getting my wife a pair and they look even better on foot than I had hoped for. Wow are they sharp. And she says they are most comfortable shoe she owns. She was never a fan of New Balance until now. But with the combined looks and comfort how can anyone not love these shoes?
Materials on 57/40 vary quite a bit depending on the style. M5740TA and M5740TB have incredible hairy suede upper parts and a perfectly soft and cozy liner, along with perforated leather on the top, for barely more money than the basic $99 price.
NB definitely deserves anyone's attention who just wants to wear comfortable AND daily sneakers at the same time. No brand matches their 50 comfort/50 looks product. Anyone who says otherwise has never tried them on 😅 or wears "only Jordans".

I am really happy to see new balance on here more often. I really like the flagship but that price point is kinda nuts in my world. So I will continue to admire. I want to see more "after a month of wear" with both of the top under 100 🤣

Been a fan of New Balance for years. I love this new sneaker because I been a fan of 574 . This updated version is fire.I copped a pair today from the flagship store. I will still wear 574 & 237’s too.

They do have a collaboration of 57/40 with concepts thats all different shades of orange that I know you’d love being a Beavers alum, it’s the only 57/40 I own yet but I do enjoy the model

Thanks for the review! I haven't bought a pair of NB's in years... decided to pick up the 57/40 Garnet with Slate colorway, a reddish hue color to spice things up in a subtle way
I have a pair of the Cordura ones and I had to go a full size up from my normal 10.5 to am 11.5. My big toe was up against the front and size of shoe.
I see everyone says NB runs larger but I've had the opposite experience. I also tried on the 990 V5 and it was still snug at 11.
I wear 10.5 in Nike/Jordan and Adidas.
Once I got the fit right, this is a very comfortable shoe that can be worn all day with barely a thought given to it. It just feels nice.
I agree. I'm at the top of my size range with NB 997H, there's just so much padding. Ordered these in my usual size, hope they fit right!

Loved the video. I just bought a pair in the Moonbeam Sea Salt color way at Marshalls for $30 was super excited finding them especially seeing all the hype around NB these past year’s.
I got the 57/40 grey day, costs a little bit more but the quality is way better.

Okay so new balance has several different pairs of sneakers offering the “fresh foam” tech. Which I’m told is right on par with zoom x and boost. But of all the different options which fresh foam shoe is the softest under foot?
I got the roav 1 and they stayed comfortable til after the outsole wore smooth. So I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

I actually like the new 57/40’s better than the 992’s. And the price of them are almost half the price. Not to mention that the 57/40’s are way more comfortable than the 992’s.
Review the 237 model, there are mad dope. They can be wore all day, there my go to for work.
