Bill is gifting us with an important but very short-term suggestion by recommending a stash of cash. I did not hear (or expect) a long-term solution to monetary policy because that would be missing the point of the interview. He's meerly telling anyone that will listen to brace for a big bump in the road. Where that road will lead is anyone's guess.

  • @4aSteadyStateEconomy
    @4aSteadyStateEconomy 9 лет назад +61

He's still not getting to the core problem of economic growthism, which demands perpetual debt cycles. Most of these analysts seem to think the system could work "IF ONLY" people would stop borrowing or being greedy, but the whole system is predicated on endless population growth and chasing fiat money. It needs to exist in balance with nature for true sustainability vs. the money-centric attitude that nature is infinite. If the root flaw of growthism is never challenged, nothing will really change. No other species tries to get away with pushing limits like Man.

    • @arslongavitabrevis7241

+4aSteadyStateEconomy --- Not all humans live this way. Pyschopaths tend to covet power and control, easily rising above the others when there is no true rule of law. This is corruption. Corruption is self limiting. It self corrects after a certain point or when a certain level is reached. Tyrants have a limited rule. Most humans are just trying to survive. There are patterns, if you look. Tyrants are felled by masses or natural law, but they are felled. The only way for man to truly push through a limit is to push through it ethically, otherwise it becomes a wall he gets flattened by.

+Joanne Woodward I am with you on SOME of what you have written in the two posts from 1/24, but you and a few others are putting too much emphasis on continuing population growth in order to sustain societies. I think that's wrong, and would hope that when the USA elects a new POTUS they will choose one who takes a different view of this.

    • @crisismanagement2442
      @crisismanagement2442 8 лет назад +2

      +Joanne Woodward
There might be a grain of truth in that, but I suspect it's also true that the current economic model, where people have to work to earn money, makes the world of work insecure, so people strive to have enough so that they don't HAVE TO work... Being retired is essentially - hopefully - the first opportunity people get to have saved/invested enough to not work... So greed is merely "self preservation" but on a grand scale.
Those who are lucky enough to have been born into wealth, have to do something to make themselves mean something - EGO - (Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs) As Willem Middlekoop (Dutch Author and Fund Manager) says, there are about 5,000 families who rule the world, and they mostly descend from monarchical families (and the ruling class) of the middle ages, who understand generational wealth, how to get it, and how to keep it. They get educated at the best schools, and come into contact with others of a similar mindset.
When you change the system, you change the outcome. But as France and Russia have found, getting rid of the aristocracy, does not guarantee that you will become a better society. Post 1917, Russia descended into communism, and the French had their own Fascism in the 1930s/40s, and it is rearing its head again with Marine Le Pen, and others of Marie le Pen's ilk.
Someone somewhere is always trying to get ahead, and come up with short term solutions, for what are long term problems. This book shows you how we got here, and what we might do to get out of it...

If you pay property taxes you don't really own your home. You are renting it back from the government. Get allodial title. Change the tax status of your property so you don't have to pay property taxes. You can only do this after researching the details and only if you do not have a mortgage. Unless people avoid property taxes they can lose their homes if the State decides to increase property taxes. Listen to my late Christian brother and actor John Quade on this and other matters. ruclips.net/video/TgGlvyCwNFA/видео.html

Or its because most of the world has to trade us dollars for oil
Usually referred to as the petro dollar
Thus giving the us dollar a demand around the world
Historically every time other countries get pissed that they have baught all these us dollars and we just keep printing more
They try and sell off most and or stop buying them
Then the us beats the ol war drum and the whole thing continues onwards

Banksters talking about stockpiling fiat currency and fail to truly understand there is nothing making a paper US dollar worth more than a Monopoly game dollar except the "Greater fool theory". I agree that people should keep cash on hand, maybe 5K, preferably in smaller bills but that would be for cyber attacks, power outages etc. Not for this scenario as there would be no faith left in it after a couple of months. This is not a 'recession', or a 'reset', or a 'wealth transfer', or a 'correction'.
This is a TOTAL meltdown Psalms 46: 4-6. The war between the US, allies and Iran; together with the war between the EU and Russia; at a time of banking systems meltdown in the EU that causes the crash of the Euro; also introducing famine Ezekiel 7: 19; are the two major wars, also associated with a number of smaller wars; which are all outlined in prophecy for the time period called the Great tribulation. Matthew 24: 15-22 Ezekiel 7: 19-22 Jeremiah 25: 17 -26. Daniel 8: 20, 23-25.
There are a lot more Scriptures that are relevant to these out -breaking wars. That is why we can see that the whole world is embroiled in wrath at this time. Jeremiah 25: 26 Revelation 11: 18.
The EU is BOMBED The Middle East is BOMBED and Iran is BOMBED.
THESE WARS melt down the financial system to zero with the loss of all instruments; including silver, gold, criptos....A TOTAL MELT DOWN. Psalms 46: 4-6. This system is over with this; and a new system called God's Kingdom Matthew 24: 14, 30 and also called the Paradise Luke 23: 43 takes over the affairs of mankind; because these political authorities are all thrown out together; and Christ is installed in earth-wide power in their places. Revelation 19: 11, 19-21, Revelation 12: 10, Rev 11: 15, 18.
THEY STUFF IT WITH THEIR WARS; THEY ARE THROWN OUT; AND CHRIST, TOGETHER WITH HIS BROTHERS BRING IN A GOVERNMENT OF PEACE AND JUSTICE, IN THEIR PLACES.
These WARS END the present day fiat currency system. Isaiah 2: 18-20. Christ has a REPUTATION; but the 'wild beast' governments, with their LIES and MANSLAYING are following after SATAN the Devil; John 8: 44, who leads all of THEM into disaster. Then, after a period of time, Satan is also EXECUTED Revelation 20: 10.
The MEN stuff it; and the true God, Jehovah, performs a RESCUE and SOLVES IT. This is the end of the system of man ruling over man, under Satan's secret deceptions.
    GOD's Kingdom under Christ the King takes over our affairs Matthew 24: 14, 30. Revelation 11: 15, 18. Revelation 12: 10.
Do you want to see $250 TRILLION worth of world debt all get destroyed at one time? THEN KEEP WATCHING. YOU can be a SURVIVOR Revelation 7: 9, 14.

sazure2 As per money system well we know that won't last forever, it's just paper and they keep printing it so nothing to back it up right. what good isit to save it the banks are paying -0 int. and that means eventually they'll have us pay money to them for keeping our money in the bank. I think they were doing that already when they charged int when there was activity or no activity on your account.
The world banking system is failing and the NWO that they keep preaching about, will come up with their one world currency eventually so what do we do now? Wait for the crunch and in the mean while buy your necesities of life, enough to last at least 3 or 4 months incase the banks freeze your accounts like Greece did. Pay of your credit though first of all or pay in full each month.

Right now, I'm not sure how sound his advice is as we are being moved to a cashless society. This gives central banks more control, for good or ill. As for the inflationary cycle, it's already begun to move towards inflation as China needs to meet demands for higher wages. So far it has been disguised through smaller pack sizes etc, but CPI disguises the real impact on households. Central bankers are now focussing on trying to control the speed of inflation as there is no other way to go. Unlike Sully, none of these pilots are trained to crash landings. Without understanding the story of money you can not understand how all this was possible. You can read and see all this is "A Brief History of Money - How we got Here and Whats Next?" . An Amazon reader: "Rarely can one find such good work. It reads easily and very exciting. Great job!"

It was the late eighteenth century free trade advocate Adam Smith and not Keynes who said there is a lot of ruin in a country. He was referring to the great damage inflicted by mercantilism, the highly flawed economic system practiced by most countries in Europe at the time.

Yes, we are all careening headlong into this cashless society. The powers that be will be pitching this cashless idea as "so convenient ", & the clueless among us will not be aware, nor care of the inherent dangers. One day in the not so far away future, "they" will announce an edict, "turn in your cash, under penalty of law". Those still possessing cash will be instantly labelled criminals, subject to incarceration & "re-education". It's already started in the big cities of China.

"the more in charge of the world you are, the less well the world will work"
Words to ponder next time you are lined up in an election to vote for x,y or z.
Imagine NO ONE showed up to vote for an election except the candidates themselves. That would be the start of a new world.
The idea of democracy sure looked good on paper but we quickly realize it is not compatible with human nature. We somehow need to figure out a cloud based system to govern ourselves.

I appreciate your approach to teaching.. To my understanding this just proves how much we need an edge as investors because playing the market like everyone else just isn’t good enough, we just need to hold onto our hopes and wait to see how things turn out because market movements are almost always unpredictable. In my portfolio, I'm noticing more red than green.

Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are alot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment.......

Theres a crash coming, the dollar will lose value and a new currency will replace it as the world currency for trade, the world economy taking a new reserve currency alone will vastly decrease dollar values overnight, hold onto cash if u want, but its not going to be worth much. We are going to default on the national debt, and cash withdrawl will be restricted for a time period to prevent a bank run,( like in greece), and products will go up in cost, as businesses fail and unemployment goes up, and there will be nowhere near enough entitlements available to feed hungry people,( like Venezuela), and the politicians running the show tha last 7 years have only served to make it happen a decade sooner, so dont look for them to help us. Civil unrest, martial law, and maybe even an election delay are in our future, dont be naive, stocking cash or gold wont be the only things u will wish for, its going to be a madhouse. Better have a plan and food stocked, bc once it starts, u wont have long to get whatever u may need, so now is the time to stock up on meds, food, etc, anything u may need to live. Imagine all the people who wont have their blood pressure and other meds they need, its going to get bad, people will do awful things to feed their hungry children, keep ur pets inside ur house.....

Agree, and here we are. So what else did you do to prepare? If not holding cash in banks, what are you investing in? Gold, silver? Waiting to sweep up stocks when it crashes to its bottom? Farm land, real estate? What is best? I think make yourself as self-sufficient as possible. I have a garden and lots of fruit trees and grow some vegetables, but honestly for some reason this year my fruits are less yield ( idk why but noticed less bees?), and my vegetables are not going to sustain us only supplement. Like what s growing is the size of my finger or hand- idk why it is my growing big? So have the seeds but idk why not really growing? Guess we are going to starve- sheesh! Do have birds - if my dh lets me even touch them, his pets- but hey, if in a crisis situation those are fair game lol!

Cash limits the lower bound of interest rates to zero. Below zero, people withdraw their cash. This is why the IMF released a working paper in April of 2019: "Enabling deep negative interest rates to fight a recession: a guide." in which they discuss the means of creating a cashless society. Look at the cash limits imposed in the Eurozone, where their bond rates are negative. That's not a coincidence.
