    Yes, the ones with the red stripe on their wheels are authentic original Red Lines. The Buzz Off one was a Tri Baby originally from 1971, and the blue version you have would be released as Buzz Off in 1973, with enamel paint. The original Hot Wheels Red Lines were spectraflame paint, released 1968-1973.

    The Hot Wheels Redlines were first manufactured in 1967 and went in the store in 1968 so you can say redlines ran from 1968 until 1977 , with the earlier production run should have 1967 printed on the bases, they are usually desired more, after 1977 they were called, The Black Walls and even some of them are very desirable among collectors, especially the white interiors, for the redlines! The best thing to do is get a copy of Earlier production runs and then soak in the everything possible 😉!

    Your uncle and I would be about the same age. Very nice collection, brings back lots of memories. I belonged to the Matchbox Collectors Club around ‘72 -‘73 and had that catalog, stents hours looking at all those cars. My brother and I had lots of those redline hot wheels and raced them all so they got pretty banged up. Hot wheels made a tool to bend the wire axles to tune the car to run better, nothing like trying to learn wheel alignment when you are 6 or 7 years old! Thanks for posting this video!

      Yes I had the thunder stick setup and I really loved it. I believe the other car was another Monte Carlo but it was red. And yes they did come only as far as I know with that track set and finding one in mint condition is pretty much impossible. But I must have really fell in love with that body style as a child because my first car was a 77 Monte Carlo with t-tops I bought from my aunt at the whopping price of $1,000 in 1989 a lot of money for an 18 year old.. I was eligible to drive when I was 16 and my father was going to give me his very nice condition Dodge Omni 4 door. He was a little insulted but understood 2 years later when I had saved up the money to buy that Monte Carlo .... Even had crager SS wheels.

      @CSmith-gb1sl 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@daveculp308 Actually the Red Car (#23) in the Thundershift was a '75 Ford "Torino Stocker", but it shared Bases/Grille with the Monte Carlo Stocker. (so you won't see the vehicle name on its base) The Monte Carlo later came out in Blue non Stock Car redline called the "Lowdown" .
