Pietro Mennea, Allan Wells, Valirv Borzov, Bobby Morrow are the greatest white sprinters of all time - because they each won Olympic Gold medals, the biggest prize in athletics.

The 100 isn't the only measure of speed. Pietro Mennea (10.01 here) set the world record in the 200 meters at 19.72. Unfortunately when I looked him up I found he'd passed away at 60 years old in 2013.

Mennea did it in 2200m Mexico City. That is around 20.00 in London or Paris.

I agree, no doubt, especially w respect to Borzov. Could easily see him take a notch off or so if he had the modern resources - training improvements, shoes, track, to run a few races around 9.9.
It's weird how crazy fast Lemaitre was at age 20/21 and how much he has declined even though he's still only 31. Same with Dafne Schippers on the women's side.
That's because he's shy and gets easily rattled. Once his confidence declines it's hard to get it back, compounded by the fact that he refuses to train like an Olympic sprinter. He definitely had the potential to reach close to the 9.80 mark but confidence, lack of training and desire ultimately caused his demise.

All sprinters peak in their mid-twenties. Schippers peak was a 20.62 Record 200m.

Bobby Morrow has got to be the best White sprinter in history: 3 Gold medals at the 1956 Olympics for the 100m, 200m (Tied the World Record), and the 4x100 Relay.

However, he didn't win the '56 US trials; Dave Sime did, but broke his back in the interim between the trials and the Games, and thus didn't compete in Melbourne. In head to head competitions, I think Sime had the edge. Sime did come back in the 1960 Games and was barely edged by Armin Harry for the 100m gold 10 flat.
My mistake. Sime was injured before the Trials.

If you're in an Olympic final you're faster on that day than any other people on earth of any race. on top of that there is very little genetic variability - it's the ignorance of people to think these are different races of humans. Skin tone does not define race, scientifically - its the common masses who don't know how to think think they know what someone's race is.

As of 4/8/21 - Fastest wind-legal performance for athletes of non-african descent . Obviously #5 and #7 have partial african ethnicity so they could be excluded.

You missed Guliyev (ethnic Azeri: 9.97s, Adam Gemili (ethnic Iranian-Moroccan: 9.97s and Filippo Tortu (ethnic Italian: 9.99s) who all ran under 10 seconds. They all have no West-African DNA. There might be others that I am not aware of

If you had a white man with Richard Kilty's initial blast out of the blocks, and Christophe LeMaitre's finish, you'd have at least a white finalist in the Olympics. No such person as yet. Perhaps Boling. There's 0.3 seconds' difference between the best sprinter of non-Western African descent and one with it. Su Bingtian brought innovative training to his talent - I think he just was slightly under the stride length of the tip-top elite. Extraordinary sprinter, though!
And Bingtian improved his PB to 9.83 in a race not long ago.

technically only Su has run 100M in under 10 seconds when you consider wind speed. What I call true time or zero wind. In terms of track records they take any wind +2.0 or under. But +2.0 gives a .09 to10 advantage. So if you were only capable of running a 10.08 you'd get a 9.99 with a +2.0 legal wind. Every white runner who has run 9.92 to 10.0 have had a strong enough wind to make their true time 10.0 or higher. Even Lemaitre's 9.92 corrects to a 10.01 if there was no wind. SU has 8 sub 10.0 true times.

No, you are wrong. However, he was a role model for me when I was sprinting in college. He was technical machine that I studied. I had to watch old film footage and VHS tapes of him.
I'm sure none of you have heard of him; but back in the early 1970s, there was a person named George McNeill from Scotland. He was a professional soccer player; and therefore was not allowed to compete in Olympic competition (I believe he DEFINITELY would have beaten Borsov in 1972). They clocked him at 10.00 flat (unofficially) and in 1970 defeated the gold medalist from the 1968 Olympics (again, not in any recognized amateur competition). Had he received Olympic training, and devoted some of his time to the warmer climates, he would have been recorded as the best white sprinter of all time without a doubt. If you look him up, you'll agree with me. He would likely have flirted with the then world record (9.95 - - - set during the 1968 Olympics).
Guliyev just crashed this party hard core...9.97 (1.5) in July 2017. The World Champ at 200m.
Let's not forget about Gemili either with his 9.97 (2.0). Berber descent with a Persian mom.

I never said he couldn’t he just gotta train and show us that he can’t do it. My mother always told me don’t tell me your going to do it. Show me you can do it. He will need to prove it to us but so far he has he’s got a faster run this year.
Hopefully he'll get faster, but his sub 10s are not wind legal. Lemaitre's are wind legal.
