Hi sir, In current situation in India is it better not to be the front line warrior... And choose some safe clinical branches like radio or derma or go with non clinical?
Thank you for doing this session. Do you have trouble working the odd hours though? Is it difficult to deal with a lifestyle where you have to ignore your circadian rhythm often?
it can be difficult- but shifts vary from institute to institute and country to country- higher up in the heirarchy you may not always have to do shift based work in most institutes ( unless they are major high volume centres) the odd hour job comes with extra monetary allowance in UK. In India, you may not get extra money- but you will get the post night shift off ( which medicine and surgery residents do not get) . you gain something and you lose something- /life is such:)
What a fantastic session!..by far the best iv watched so far. You have such amazing management skills and everything is so sorted in ur life. It's not a real degree. It is not recognized by nmc or by dnb board. Good for short term. Bad for long term as eventually all hospitals will want md or dnb qualified doctors

depends on long term plan- if its is critical care- either is ok. if it is emergency medicine only- then former is better. you can always top up knowledge post MD by joining an academic EM department as SR

Scope of MRCEM?
Sir will there be inicet in nov 2022
Sir please reply....can we do DM critical care medicine after MDemergency medicine?
First few batches they allowed. But As of now, no! They want EM physicians to stay in EM. Medicine n anesthesia can migrate to critical care.

But where is Emergency medicine in the list based on personality?
good point. this test is several decades old. At that point EM was not popular. So i guess you need to go with your "gut feel" for now
