In the early years . Most of the high country lakes in the west were stocked by pack horses .
I think a camera is better cuz like you said they are a very gentle biter in the winter and if you do not set the hook at the right time you will miss them

Great video, remided me that I needed to look for land out there!

You don’t need a flasher to fish for rainbows
You don't need a flasher when you are fishing in five feet of clear water when you can look down the hole and see the fish but find that I often see the fish on the flasher before I can see them in the hole and it can sometimes be easier to use a flasher if there is glare and I can't see well down the hole without laying on the ice or using a dark house. Fun watching them and it is something anybody can do without a lot of equipment.
Jason Mitchell Outdoors sure is fun but you said you need a flasher to fish but you don’t need a flasher to ice fish
Oh bud yes you do. ESPECIALLY in the deep water. but yes like jason said, under 5 feet theres no point, if its 10+ feet i'll use one. they still hit under the hole with the flasher in 10 feet
Bagelstorm if u go out on deerfield Lake in the black hills u dont need one u can see twenty feet down lol
@@colbynewton6446 I agree, whether I'm fishing 4 feet or 18 feet I rarely use one. If you go by memory and know when you're on the bottom you're good
Whats the name of that jig again 13:00? And size? Weight?
