Why write letters to God who knows everything? | Sadhana | Sri Sathya Sai Experience

- Writing letters to their 'Swami' was a very common practice among the devotees of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. They would pour out their hearts - their joys, their sorrows, their problems and their gratitude - on this piece of paper and hand it over to Swami during His Darshan rounds, when He walked amidst the devotees in the morning and evening. But the question that arises is that if the Guru/God is aware of everything, why does He need our letters? And now that Swami is no longer present in the physical form, does it make sense to even write letters to Him?
Here are a couple of thoughts and an insightful experience to give us insights.

This is a letter to Swami and Aravind,
In satsang you are that hollow flute of Swami
We all are enchanted by His music coming out of your mouth...
That music out of Paradise silences all minds and makes our harts
Sing out love.
His magic. Your magic.Same magic.
Not only motivating but so moving this is.
We need to write letters to Swami as Sadhana and meditation.
As a way to have unity of words,thoughts and deeds in Him.
To write Him what I want.
To write Him to feel His Presence.
To write what He wants for me...
Happy Divine New Year Aravind and all in the world as we are blessed with Swami’s love and blessings. It’s 1210am where I am and This is the first New Years message I’m listening to:)

Thank you for this wonderful message sir. I wrote a letter to Swami just today evening, although my habbit is to put all the letters behind his picture in my home, but today when I wrote it, i kept it inside my book to keep it later infront of Swami's picture. It turned out that, i rememberd late night that i did not keep the letter and i was very worried that my letter wouldn't have reached Swami because I delayed. This whole message made me understand no matter what, Swami already knows what's in it when you write your letter. Thanks for this beautiful message. Sairam.

Dear brother,
You have no idea how much your own experience & other devotees' stories about our dearest Bhagawan Sai have enlightened my life. I am thrust to get to know my lovely lord Sai's kindness, immense of his love & care. Every time I hear your stories my eyes get poured out about my Bhagawan Sai. It makes me to work on his path which he had told to his loving children. Listen to your stories it often gets clear my doughts, it's like God himself send me answers through you my dear brother. Ex. I had a confusion should I write a letter to my GOD, because he is not in his physical form then how do I deliver my message to my Loving GOD, when you such stories about letters which you have given to Bagawan honesty most of the time I felt jealous because I never had that chance because my Bhagawan called me to his lotus feet very recently. I was worried because I thought I never get a chance to such joy, happiness to offering a letter to my Bhagawan. I ached for that joy. As I said you before my Bhagawan gave me a answer through this your video.
