A Possessive God

Why is God possessive when He is supposed to be beyond attachment and relationships? The simple and straightforward answer is, "For the devotees' good alone." That is the reason why God does each and everything that He does.
The experiences of many people clearly show that it didn't matter to Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba whether you followed Him or any other name/form of the Guru/God. But again, some other experiences show that He is extremely possessive of the devotee. Even a moment's reflection and introspection opens our eyes to the magnanimous and magnificent Grace of Swami.
