My Dads birthplace and my Moms home since she was a small child, when her parents moved to San Cataldo, from Ragusa. They were married in The Church of Rosario. My Moms Family; The Centolas, lived on via Rosario 48, until my Mom married my Dad. Shortly after my Dad and his Brother were inducted into the Army and sent to War (WWI). After returning, they moved to America , where my Siblings and I were born and raised . We grew up in the Sicilian Culture and learned the dialect of Sicily as well as Our native language, English. While serving in the Military at age 19, I made my first visit to meet my Occulto/Centola/Graci Families. What a joy it was and still is for me.

I have family there, so they were always my guide (my grandparents are from there as well). Enjoy the region. It is beautiful. Make sure to visit Caltanisetta, Enna, and Agrigento if you have time.
