- I have some scraps left over from some other projects, so I'm going to build a skinny for mountain bikes, but along the way I want to talk about some tips for building better kickers, ramps, and other trail features.

Man the stong back is genius probably seen it before just never realised what purpose it serves brilliant the tips you get from tradesmen thanks cody
It comes in handy in a lot of places. I'm glad you like it. Thanks for watching.
The Alton Brown of MTB. Good Eats. Stay safe sir. Thanks for all the great lunch rides.
Ha! Thats awesome. Thank you.
Haha nice!
Yes! Might make one
I am surprised at how much fun I've been having with it.
Thanks Cody!
You're welcome!
All hardware stores are closed in Ireland & we were sent home from work for 2weeks yesterday & so I installed a reversing camera in a carpenters van in exchange for a sheet of plywood I’m going to make a ramp/kicker & learn how to jump & land properly
I love this! Good luck and be careful!
Thank you! Your build videos will seriously make D.I.Y. feature builders all over the world safer and the explanations for why you're doing it will carry over to a lifetime of future builds!
Dude, that's awesome of you to say. Thank you very much!
Great vid. Keep it up.
Thank you very much! I will try.
Summer project acquired! Such a fun video!
It's a lot more entertaining to ride than I thought it would be.
Love the videos. Nice solid builds. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much, I will do my best!
Fantastic video Cody! Thanks for the entertainment.
Any time!
Nice job Cody!
Thank you my friend!
fun and informative!
Thank you! I'm just waiting for some engineer to tear me to shreds...
@@LunchRide hah-- then that engineer can go build her/his own, am I right?!
Great videos. Glad I found your channel
Dude! Right on!
Nicely done. Love the way you present and edit.
Thank you very much!
I was going to be so mad if the video ended without footage of you testing out out. Last few minutes did not disappoint! Another great video!
Thanks man. Those last few seconds took me hours and hours. Glad you appreciated it!
Nice man! I think I remember you saying you use an old version of Sketch Up? I started using Fusion 360 which has a free license for personal use. It’s awesome. You can layout your design with parameters so if you want to change a length or angle then you update the parameter and it automatically adjusts everything. Anyway, I thought I’d pass that on. Stay safe!
Dude! Thank you for that. I'm am going to check it out now!
I guess it’s time to work on skinnies😁 nice!
I'm always surprised at how much fun it actually is.
Only recently discovered your stuff which I love watching but man America needs to use the metric system! So much easier to understand without all the tinths and tenths, lol
Awesome! I would have attempted it without the angled braces and crushed it LOL (not in a good way, more like nailed it with pintrest ideas). I need a backyard full of obstacles!
My wife always worries that I'm going to make permanent paths in the backyard grass, but I'm like...so?! What wrong with putting in a jump line? Better than a swimming pool.
Lunch Ride hahaha. No wait, even better....a pool with jump lines that cross over it. That way if you crash 💦 🤣🤘🏼
Next video wear your tool belt while your ride Bentonville
Can you images all that clickity-clackin' and the trail of tools it would leave behind?! 😂🤣😂
@@LunchRide just make sure you don't have nails in your pack falling out
Skinnies have always been one of my weakest skills. Just got done making one of these so now me and my girlfriend can practice.
I did see that on Instagram. Great job.
Thanks! I used your directions for building my manual machine! how do you cut a 45 degree angle with a hand held circular saw. I can only see the pencil mark for the first half of the cut.
You are right, it can be difficult. There is usually a notch at the front of the plate that the saw glides on. This lines up with the blade. If you line the notch and the blade up before you begin the cut you can then use just the notch as a guide during the cut and get a pretty good result. Also, it is not uncommon to lean way the hell over to get a look at the blade while cutting.
You can use your speed square as a guide. Just clamp it on so the blade is on the right spot and follow it right thru the cut.
👍👍
skinny are skinny people....lol, cheers V!
Much easier if you would use metrics :-). Thanks for the info though :-)
For you maybe! 😂🤣 I will try to include more mm's and cm's in future drawings.
