I like how patient you are with him. Especially since he’s iron, he doesn’t have the champ mastery needed to clear efficiently or the experience to do multiple things at the same time such as farming and camerawork, or even super basic things like how to ping
THX Perry, just made into plat today for the first time. I've been stuck in silver forever and I've been watching your videos lately. Its crazy how much I was missing to get here. Keep it up!
😂This dude sounds so happy. Never farmed so heavily. Seems like he's never been this far ahead. Just farming so much better then the rest will get you out of iron.
23:08 It would be cool if every time you tabbed to evaluate what item to go next, you walked through the thought process of that. I have trouble knowing what items to go based on enemy team items/comp so hearing your thoughts out loud would help me shape my thought process too. Thanks for the videos bro!
Same. Its a learning process. A generic tip that works is - once i have my core items, if i see the enemys strongest is going AP, i build magic res. If i see AD, armor. Learning what is what takes time, but during quiet parts of the game you can hover the items their strongest champs have. My friend said a good generic tip is, if your TEAM is ahead (doesnt matter if you are losing your lane) build defensive items. If you are losing, build offensive.
since the enemy were all fragile he just made him go full assasin with edge of night for fiddle ult and extra bits of health. it was definitely possible for him to go a bit of armor like plated steelcaps because everyone except fiddle are auto attackers, in fact it mightve been better to do it instead of ionians. the good thing about kayn is if the enemy team wasnt all squishy and stuff he couldve went a bruiser build with red kayn and be as strong in fights and even win those 3v1s. the recommended items thing is always good to itemize unless you want to try something new, except that some characters like kayn are versatile and you could build assasin or bruiser on him, similar to wukong and a few others. you can also check build websites like porofessor or mobalytics to see what people build but id recommend thinking of a path even before the game starts based on their team and evaluate items. its also better to build against the opposing teams strong players. so maybe if the fiddle was insanely fed he couldve gotten magic resist even though all the other players deal attack damage.
Nice to see coaching content back on the channel recently. Overall banger of a channel for junglers. Any chance of getting some more champion guides? The one you made for J4 a few months back was perfect (runes/build, jg clears, champion identity etc.). The viego one was also good
I am a relatively new league player, and just switched over to jungle (amumu). I’m ranked bronze 4, but mostly play norms for context. I have been playing super farm heavy as you suggest, but games end up feeling very coin flippy. If my team does well, I can run around and pick up all the objectives for free, and am farming enough that i can still be involved in team fights. On the other hand if my team is doing poorly, the game becomes very hard to play, and enemy team snowballs hard. I wish you would go into a bit more of the nuance of when to play super farm heavy like this, and when to get involved more in fights or play more gank heavy. I’m relatively new to the channel, so if there is a video that goes more into this, please drop a link!
What isn't obvious in the video is that perry is acting as a minimap watcher for him. That is the next step for you. While you are farming your camps, you have to watch the minimap and look at the lanes to see what is happening. There will be opportunities to move to help your teammates but if you are just watching the wolves health go down you won't see them. There is also a difference in how you impact a game with a jungler like Kayn and one like Amumu. Kayn is an assassin, so he can just show up and blow someone up, Amumu can't do that as easily. Still, if you are farming well and have your items, Amumu can certainly turn around a game.
Great vid. I often try to focus on farm, but if my bot is losing it becomes very hard. I can't do dragons, and they ping for help all the time. If I go to help them more than often I just waste time, but if I don't help they either grief or feed the enemy so that mid game becomes rough for everyone. What would you advice in this game if bot was losing?
Look at the matchups. Vayne into Mundo, mundo is going to be under turret early because Vayne is ranged and will always poke him out. If Mundo can stay somewhat even on health, then you can play around topside or other winning lanes. Its okay to concede objectives when you have no means to take them. Its better to give a drag and grubs than to give drag and grubs AND die trying to steal (losing tempo and giving them gold)
With the map changes unless you intend to run straight to bot lane (for a lane gank for example) there is no advantage to taking blue first as the blue is closer to the river entrances. Even if you're headed straight bot optimizing your second clear is very strong as it will give you your level 6 quicker, and having level 5 before the enemy jungle is OP.
The idea is to make it so all of the basic camps (raptors, krugs, grump and wolves) are respawning close together, if he were to do blue first and then grump, on his second clear of the jungle there would be a delay between doing wolves and grump while he waits for grump to respawn
Man... I would love a coach but I don't have any money.. I want to learn soraka because I believe that she can be overpowered when her abilities are used strategically.. I just don't know how to farm property with supports..
Guy had a 4/0 Top Lane and 8/2 ADC with a typically high KD Lux support; all of them CS up on their respective enemy laners. This happens 1/10 Iron games. I'd love to see this exact same strategy work when your Top Lane Sett is 0/5 and half CS against a now un-killable and roaming Mundo or Trundle, the ADC/Support duo have a combined 2 kills between them and are half the enemy bot lane CS at 20 min. Meanwhile their fed lanes and jungler are stealing all your camps. And the entire time this is happening your team is flaming you for lack of ganks, already typing "Jungle Diff" or "AKF Power Farming" in chat cause you decided to push a side lane or farm what camps you might have left instead of going to run it down and die with all of them. This happens more than half the Iron games I am in. I am in Iron because I am trash at the game and belong here. I 1000% admit that. I just started playing, but these strategies never seem to work cause not only can I not be everywhere at once, I can't solo every objective, or make up for feeding lanes. And it's demoralizing no matter how much I like the jungle role cause at the end of the day it's all my fault.
Not every game is winnable, but if you keep playing consistent then you only have 4 people on your team who can be int'ers, while their team has 5 (since you won't be inting, since you'll be playing well.). So just mute chat, and keep playing to make yourself stronger, since you're the only constant in all your games.
32:33 Also Annie AFK for parts of the game (ending with 65 CS). Also while Power Farming won't always give you a win, you will get to see what it's like to play your champion with item, which is a worthwhile learning experience when you're in Iron. Also you're not just power farming, you're optimizing respawn timers, and not wasting any time. And once you have cleared your jungle twice you have a little bit of free time to look for a fight, or a gank, or an objective before you go back to farming your camps. And every time you finish a full clear you have a little more time. Also, playing Graves jungle with 3 losing lanes I was still able to get fed through farming, ending the game almost full build, and if I didn't suck mechanically at Graves I could definitely have carried that game. For reference the average player rank in my games is around bronze 1/silver 4.
Oh and if you're afraid of your team flaming you disabled team chat, or mute all ever singe game. As jungle this is extremely important for your mental health.
this video is just wrong lol. you can maybe do this in iron but you cant just afk farm and get away with it lol. your team will just lose everywhere and you wont win games.
I like how patient you are with him. Especially since he’s iron, he doesn’t have the champ mastery needed to clear efficiently or the experience to do multiple things at the same time such as farming and camerawork, or even super basic things like how to ping
this video made me realize how strong it is to just farm.
THX Perry, just made into plat today for the first time. I've been stuck in silver forever and I've been watching your videos lately. Its crazy how much I was missing to get here. Keep it up!
"You're double CS now!"
"AWWHM WINNIN"
xD
No but srsly GJ keep it up

damn that was a long comment
@zortnet it was like 6 sentences lol... you really should read some books if u think that was a long comment.
@@LemonInYourEyes i meant about the comment i wrote and it got removed. probably got flagged because it was pretty long

Really enjoy ur videos keep it up
Aw I loved this!! I definitely will have to get you as a coach one of these days!
I returned to playing League after 8 years. Your videos helped me in getting back.
Thank you for your videos, Ryan Higa. = )
Amazing content honestly

No one bats an eye with Fiddlesticks' HoB.
Perry where you recording at 😂
This guy will actually improve! Hes very receptive to the coaching (unlike ludwig)
Or that master player that always check on his teammates instead of himself.
What is his camera setting it’s locked but he can move fov
9:45 should have placed ward in the bush while recalling since he had both wards up, put vision down and let ward cd charge
Should always sequence camps? As in groups before blue? Or sometimes blue them gromp is ok?

I can't even get kayn's form at 20 min while teams 0 to 20
Idk how u play but u know about kayn's bucket mechanic? if not look it up if u just take guaranteed ganks u can nearly always get form before then
my favorite league yt
Farming is better on Kayn, but if he was playing Warwick ganking might be more important, at least if you have a blood trail.
thank u perry
Not the iron Vayne top 😭 💀
Man... I would love a coach but I don't have any money.. I want to learn soraka because I believe that she can be overpowered when her abilities are used strategically.. I just don't know how to farm property with supports..
can someone recommend me a channel that explains as well as perry but for lanes?
Alois for top
Teammates get less gold for taking camps cuz no jg item right?
i think its the same amount of gold but less xp if you're a laner
Also you take less exp from minion pre 20 min as jg
u get 80 xp from big monsters as a bonus w jg item, and it heals u, so dont let them take it if u need a heal
are you recording this from the jungle? shed time.
Im iron please coach xd
Feels like Singapore server is way better and difficult to climb. Like people in bronze be playing like gold players.
Huh?
no

Focus on the concepts to be learned and eventually you’ll look back at how easy iron/bronze is when you get more experience.
this video is just wrong lol. you can maybe do this in iron but you cant just afk farm and get away with it lol. your team will just lose everywhere and you wont win games.
After every clear he was basically looking do do something on bot, this gamę was just a stomp
Are you in a shed? lol
