Love the content man! I remember years ago doing a 400 swap on a 81 T/A 4.9 non turbo car the trans behind the 301 said metric on the pan. We thought it was a metric th350 lol. I cringe thinking about how unmolested and original that bird was and we junked the 4.9 and the metric tranny. Stupid.. Was a Blk on Blk car with the 81 gold decals almost mint car that we bought for 1k in 2002 😢 On a brighter note the car still exists and is still fairly decent looking. It's running around here somewhere in Southern Tennessee
From what I remember the only ratio available for the rear end on the 1977 Bonnevile's was 2.41 across the board regardless if it was a 301, 350 or 400 engine. That would alter slightly for 1978 and 1979 going as low as 2.29 for the 2BBL 301 cars.
I'd mount the gauges inside the glove box. Pop it open when you need to see them, when you're racing etc.. Leave it closed to conceal them, to keep it looking stock inside. Get some material for the headliner at Jo-Ann fabrics. Pull the air cleaner, rebuild the car, take a closer look at the manifold, and swap in a K&N. Clean up the engine pay a little bit. Get some "Sweet Patina" for the body. It works awesome! Tell them "Rick Seitz from GMEFI Magazine" sent you.
lol that’s what thought when I got my 77 Lemans back in 88 Said to myself I bet there’s a 4 bbl intake under there!! WRONG!! Oh well but I did put an 80 4 bbl intake true dual exhaust rejetted the Quadra Jet and my LeMans Sport Coupe is a true runner! 4bbl and true dual exhaust I gained a LOT of extra horses out of my 77 301!! Can’t wait to see what you do with it!!
Shame about the fender skirts. They’d add a cool vibe with the new wheels. Kinda Green Hornet’ish. Solid car though. Be nice to see if you could bring the 302 to life in NA form
From what I remember working on these when late model cars. The intake manifold is not open for secondary’s for a four barrel carburetor.

You can also paint the headliner cardboard ! I did that to my 02 Bonnie and she looks awesome
Battleship Gray Rustoleum
It was a gray interior already
Cosmetically you made it look awesome! Those minor changes are great.
Love the car! 🤩 I miss driving those old full-size cars. I need to find one for myself.
That is a sweet ride Joseph. Love it!
This is such a cool car! Personally, I like it better with stock wheel/hubcaps, fender skirts and whitewalls. Keep up the good work!

Love to buy the 15x6 original rims off that! 👍
