    Hi Bro! Nice demo!! To make it compact and powerful is what we had in mind back in the designing phase of this pedal. And do you know there is this little hack on the Jet Fln Br. patch? Turn the time knob to almost the minimum, and you get the one and only Leslie sound. You can give it a try. It sounds pretty awesome! BTW, this is Richard from Sonicake. Cheers, brother!

      Any demos of this on bass?

      @@carltoppin8231 We haven't did the bass demo of this one. But during the product testing phase, I tried it once with a P-bass. Using the chorus on the pedal. Man, I assure you the tone is legit!

    how do you get "STEREO CHORUS" from a mono output jack?

  • @beeflin
    @beeflin 4 года назад +2

    There's one odd thing about this pedal - the MIX control works as Mix only on the Chorus and Lofi effects - an all other effects it's a Master Volume, which is no use at all since it can only reduce the volume from unity - no boost. It REALLY should be Mix for all effects. I sent mine back for a replacement because I thought it was faulty, but no, the replacement was the same. A shame when the pedal is so handy, especially for tremolo and vibrato.

      Yeah, an odd choice from the developers, but I haven't run into any real-world situations where it's been problematic. This lives on my travel pedalboard now and sounds great.

      @@uglyguitarguy yes, I'm keeping mine too - it's so versatile!

      I returned mine the next day for that reason. If you want 100% WET effect sound, with the "mix" knob working as a volume control just like you were turning your guitar or amp up or down, but still with 100% effected sound ... it'd be fine. (Or if you used it as an outboard effect plugged into a mixing board that could act as a mix knob.)

    I just recently found out about this company. Received a wavecrush pedal a couple of days ago and I have already found a couple fun ways to use it in a band setting. Very cool little pedal, great for the price. I think I'll get at least a couple more, 5th dimension included :)

    Hi , tell me if you Turn mix pot on radical left , do you have just clean signal of a guitar or it’s silent ? I just bought and I noticed that my mix pot isn’t mix , is volume and I don’t know if it’s wrongly working effect ( basically mix is mix only on lo-fi ) or it’s charm of it ;-)

    • @bdrums
      @bdrums 3 года назад +1

      THANK YOU! I'm still going round and round with Sonicake that my specific pedal wasn't defective ... THEY ALL ARE! ... if that's what they think a mix knob is supposed to do (I.E. 100% WET effect sound with the "mix" "working" as a volume as if you were turning the instrument or amp up and down, but never mixing wet and dry instrument sounds.) 8 of the 11 effects were set up (wrong) this way on the one I received (and returned the next day). LoFi and the 2 Choruses were the only where the mix worked correctly. So, It's not just yours or mine...

      @@bdrums yeah it’s very poor pedal , except choruses ( which not sound amazing anyway ) anything else is unusable , the level of the other effect is different than bypassed effect and it’s terrible . I bought it to replace my single flanger ( what the hell I buy flanger and 9 extra effects ) but this pedal really confirms that single pedals are always better than multi . Thanks for the reply

    • @bdrums
      @bdrums 3 года назад

      @@MarkCruncher That's funny because my reason for looking into these multi effect/modulation pedals was I couldn't decide between a flanger and phase shifter ... then I found all these multi's. I did buy and keep a different brand's similar pedal and use the (slooow) phaser more than anything else. (on bass.) ... It's mix pot works correctly.

      @@bdrums I was using for 20 years some copy of boss flanger , I think I need to back to four knob flanger , or the best four knob and extra mix pot . It’s hard to find satisfying sounds when you have only two modulating pots .

    Thats a ton of stuff in such a small little pedal, Saw you did the review last year, how well has it held up for ya? Thinking I might convince my guitarist to grab this!

    • @uglyguitarguy
      @uglyguitarguy  4 года назад +1

      It's still on my travel pedalboard! I predominantly use it for Flanger or tremolo since those are really the only effects that I just use occasionally, and it's still going like a champ! Definitely recommend!

    Question, did you have any trouble getting this working? I have the correct power supply and everything plugged it correctly but not even the LED's come on. In fact i was so sure that it was a fault in the pedal the company sent me another one and again I'm having the same issue. Thanks

    • @uglyguitarguy
      @uglyguitarguy  4 года назад

      Never had any issue powering it on. What power supply are you using to run it? Check that it's 9V and center negative (BOSS style).

    Just to be clear, this is not Auto Wah. It is not an envelope filter. It does not react to each note. This is like a ring modulator where you set the depth and rate like a phaser or flange. The tap tempo goes a long way to making it sound more like an Auto Wah, but at the end of the day, it is not.

  • @thepadenshow1945
    @thepadenshow1945 4 года назад

    Could you get that grateful dead auto wah effect ???

    • @bdrums
      @bdrums 3 года назад +1

      No, the "Cryin' Bot" isn't a true envelope filter. However Sonicake's Cry-Bot is an awesome, stand alone envelope filter at a dirt cheap price (compared to the same thing for 5 to 10 times more money.)
      ... Very first thing I played with the Cry-Bot was Estimated Prophet (on bass).

      Based on me buying one 3 days ago. About the only thing that sounds half decent is the tremolo.
      The rest is garbage.

      Have you tried to place it before and after your preamp to see which works better? Different preamps take pedals differently.

      @@thesaj1110 I'm mostly going to agree with this. Especially in regard to the Tremolos. I would just say that for the price, it's nice to have out there for musicians (especially newer musicians) who can't afford the higher end stuff but want to play with effects.
