i keep on doing varial heelflips instead of hard flips, and thanks to your video, rather than heelflipping during the pop shuvit it doesn't flip at all, which means I'm halfway there to actually landing the trick.

Practice kick flips first then?!? Idk make a line on paper and just try having your hand and board on the line. Might be front finger going all wonky. Get the geometry of tricks headness going on.

Setup ur fingers like ur gonna do a kickflip but instead move ur front finger to the the did at the front of the board closest to you. Flip the board slowly and catch ur finger under in before it fully rotates. Pull backwards and land. Just practise that and I'll probably get the hang of it. :)
