Feast of Saint Matthias, Apostle

Today we remember Saint Matthias, who was chosen to replace Judas Iscariot as one of the twelve Apostles. Matthias was a close disciple of Jesus from the time of his baptism to his Ascension and is considered an important figure in the early church.
