man, at last i figured out one big mistake i was doing for all patch long and pushing miserable dps as a 402 fire mage doing less than 40k overall in m+ and 30ich in terros! hardcasting pyro while comb. up (i was not doing that), and comb from cd and 8stacks talent stacks adding the up time! thanks for that.
this is what i picture fire mages listening to in raid
Mages/Warriors/Rogues are the ones I imagine playing this.
Dk's I imagine nothing but either Japanese/Anime songs/themes or heavy metal.

I mained fire in 9.0 and just started playing again.
Curious tho, what's the reason for holding combust for the first 20 seconds of pull? I always thought the mind set was pump in combust > try to get combust back > repeat

You want to take advantage of fire starter while the boss is >90% hp. Usually this means you build a full skb then go into your main combust on the hardcast
I'm a fire mage struggling at the 380 ilvl doing too little dps. Avg around 22k. I see you sometimes hard cast pyroblast when you have "heating up" active. Are you using Fireblast before that hardcast pyro hits? Currently looking on YT for fire mage help, and i came across your vid. You rock, dude! Insane DPS
I hardcast pyroblast for two different reasons. The first is to use a pyroclasm proc and the second is to activate SKB. I have an ability tracker on the bottom right if you want to see when I use fireblast and where in the rotation I use it, I use a fireblast before hardcast pyro if it is an skb so I go into combust with max damage. Try the Addon Hekili Priority Helper, this addon may help you on your Priority while casting your rotation. it helped me alot while playing an Unholy DK. :)

Yeah fire is pretty shitty without the externals. This video is just entertainment, don't use it as a real life guide.
Clean pull! Would you say this strategy works for normal and heroic? My pug groups usually move Grim at around 45 to 50 energy to the next platform. You guys let him go nearly to full energy before moving him to Storm. Then for the next one you didn't move him at all out of Earth. Is there a reasoning behind this or is this better for overall DPS? Explain!! Insane dps for fire mage!
This is for the mythic encounter where he spawns the elemental adds during the main phase of whichever elemental quadrant he's in. Moving him earlier than near-full energy would cause you to have to fight him with more than 1 of these empowered adds at once which isn't good. If you look at 02:12 Kurog is casting Stormwrought Despoiler which would spawn the storm elemental, but it's cancelled since he reached full energy.
Everything keggernaut said is correct, not sure how this would affect normal/heroic strats to go as im sure there are easier ways of doing this encounter on those difficulties by now. For Damage, its always gunna be higher on mythic kurog because there is an extra big add fires ignite can cleave from.
@@Keggernaut Gotcha. I lead Pugs weekly and boy it's tough getting people to follow strats sometimes. This strat seems way easier than running the boss round everywhere. But it has to be different given its mythic. Thanks!
What your pc specs and also resolusion? I have 5600x and rtx 2080 super and my pfs there are like 30-40 while fighting. I think its way to low that should be also whats your video setting in wow ?

We figured it out. The strat to rank 1 is a mid fight repair. That doesnt show in the logs!!
do you play with an edited from default spell queue window? (400 default)?

theres a key recording addon in the bottom right u can see every spell he casts
what is your build for mythic+? I feel without a flame strike the trash DPS is horrible.
build is the exact same for raid and mythic+. you just ignite spread. in lower keys like 10 or lower you probably will find higher overalls with flamestrike though

How do you get clearance to ignore add? I need good info to counter my RL
damage outside of combust is too low for you to have meaningful damage on the adds but contributes to building a bigger ignite on the main guy for add spawns
Nice vid, however the keyboard clicks are very distracting. Maybe adjusting mic settings and noise gate could help!
I have since then fixed the keyboard being too loud haha. I was back home for the holidays and my setup was not that ideal.

How much haste and mastery did you have on this kill?
I think around 24% haste and 27% mastery if I remember correctly
Would you say that Hyperthermia builds fall too far behind? It's Fire's most fun talent imo, it would be a pity to see it depend on the same meta/build as it did in Shadowlands.
technically the hyperthermia build is ahead on pure single target but lacks in aoe sitatuions. Even thought it is ahead it is just barely that the random factor probably isnt worth it.
@@Hopefulqt Thank you! I'm having a hard time keeping up with other dps specs in the raid, using mostly a Hyperthermia build. Even though SKB is more consistent, it feels awful to play in most fights as they all feel movement-heavy. Any tips? And are there any fights you definitely DON'T recommend playing as Fire?
@@joaootaviodambrosdezanet5105 Best tip is to just keep playing it and getting use to it since it looks like tis here to stay as it is so powerful. You can play every fight as fire if you want nothing stopping you really.

all my ui are 99% of my WA are apart of atrocityui. He is a player in liquid and streams at Twitch.tv/atrocity. You can sub to his channel and follow the instructions on his discord to get the exact copy of my ui.
I am 390 Ilvl and im sturggling to do enough dmg.. i am at 30-31 by the end of the fight and some fights im even below 30k.. I have no clue what to do . Im watching yt videos , guides streams and im doing what you guys are doing ..
just need to keep practicing and getting it down, youll eventually break the passive state you seem to be in.

@@Ep0xy fire also has the least keybinds out of the mage specs because they didnt get much extra compared to shadowlands where as the other specs picked up fire spells

@@Arsen93 I currently just play in full arcane gear since I have not finished Mythic Raszageth prog so around 17% hate and 48% crit
Haste or mastery lariat? And what about single target bosses?
i did haste/mastery for all crafting gear, mastery and vers are pretty equal on single so i like to prefer mastery as it gains a lot of value whenever a second target is introduced

@@Hopefulqt yeah but what is the benefit? You could combust into skb with pyroclams stacks. You will easy get the stacks during combustion. After SKB use shifting power and you got almost another combustion. Thats why i am asking :)

According to the log he only did 109k dps, highly misleading
Probably because fire does the most extra damage with power infusion and it helped them kill the boss
not meant to be deceptive at all, meant to show that fire is not as bad as people say it is. It is normal as a mage to get externals on prog fights as arcane as well.
the log does not count in blessing of summer, did not want to confuse people with 2 different numbers showing from the title and the video

Pve bosses can actually be a ton of fun if done right with challenging mechanics, destiny raids are always a banger. New world honestly didnt do too bad and lost ark is on another level with its raids. But this.... is laughable. "Dont panic" like bro, its two adds and a circle on the ground to step out of.... legit have to be special needs to not be able to complete this raid on mythic. Thank god I dabbled more into pvp this xpac. Been so much fun on WW.
