this video actually did help me a ton. the motor kept cutting out sporadically after just 2 hours of owning the bike. after fighting with support to figure out what was going on so early, this video taught me that the trouble was the large wire that connects the motor to the battery was loose
Just excellent. I have a different bike, Colt 604 that has died on hills (ie more stress and energy on the motor) and no explanation as to why. What you explained shows exactly the problem on my bike. My service dealer has no clue about this at all. I was there today, and he didn't check this at all. Said there were no diagnostics available, which is untrue. Basic diagnostics to be sure, but it explained the problem using your instructions. Thank you! My motor is definitely the problem.
Glad it helps. Well, it dig it deeper, when you found it's the motor portion issue, it still can be the motor itself or the motor cable that connecting conntroller and motor. Anything in the route can cause the same presentation.
Yes it's the same on all ebikes with "communication error". In your situation, it can be the motor cable, motor connector, or the motor itself. (everything in between the controller and motor)
Will you be making a range extender for the cheetah ebike to give you more range and so you don't have to open the gas tank to take out the battery to take it in the house to charge
The red triangle is showing up. My bike will not throttle or pedal assist at all. I literally just pulled into my yard and it appeared and stopped working. It shows the throttle engaging on the screen but won't move it even jerks like it wants to move but immediately stops itself. I hear a noise in the back like it wants to move or turn over but it won't budge.
Can you please check the specific error code information and send email to our support team support@revibikes.com? Our people will walk you through. Sounds like a motor issue. It's always good to check if the motor cable underneath the rear chain stay is loosen or not.
When I turn the power on my cheetah it come on in power mode if I go in settings and pick normal and save it then turn the bike off. Then turn it back on it come on in power mode if I want to change power mode I have to go to settings to change mode I can't just hit the on button to change mode
Hi Phil, the hit power button to change between ECO/NORMAL/POWER is a new feature that will be vastly applied after May 2022. For previous version, you need to go to setting to switch the mode.
Ok thanks you will you be making a range extender for the cheetah or a switch to hookup a second cheetah battery so you don't have to take off the gas tank to change battery I love this bike had it for one month
Hi Raymond, sorry to hear that. Don't hesitate to contact info@revibikes.com. We'll walk you thru to get a new charger or diagnose if it's the battery issue.
