Myeh! The 4.6L Modular, no matter how many valves you stick in the heads, is a turd! You need a blower to make ANY 4.6L Modular run. Thank God FORD got rid of it and gave us the awesome Coyote 5.0! BTW: I'll still stick with my 'old technology' 363 pushrod engine that makes 565 HP... N/A
If it wasn't for the mod motor. there would be no Cobra R, Terminator, Coyote etc. Mod motor never should of ever been a 4.6. They should of stuck with the 5.0 and larger. But old school push rod power is the truth.
The Body mods and paint scheme make it a visual masterpiece. The engineering that went into it i hate to say was before its time, But its an amazing ride that should have been produced!! I want that top end!! twin tb On that pollished garrett blower!!! Revell had a model kit of this car, i cannot find anylonger.
If they would of put this thing out on production, it would have been the 2013 GT500 of the 90's. No denying, there's some serious performance going on with this pony, even by today's standards. Just can't get over that too loud too proud paint job though...
It would have been better in 1998 than the 13 Shelby was in 13. It had nearly 600 horses when the vette only had 345 horses and that was the top model. Nearly double what the highest trim mustang the cobra was doing at that time. This thing was WAAAAYYYYYY ahead of any other production car that had been up to that point. They went with a 5.4 4v with blower setup for the later Ford gt and 07 up gt500 which eventually became the 5.8. Kind of funny how far in advance they were teasing that PowerPlant. Of course the production models didn't run on e85 or have the ability to change the boost with a bypass.
Childhood dream car. I remember reading about the super stallion in a magazine in middle school. He was right, that 5.4 set the standard for ford. Cobra R, Ford Gt, GT500. Love to see one.
Ford should of made the 94 to 98 body until 04. Similar to the Foxbody long run and just changed the lights and skirts. And then New edge 99 to 04 should of been the 2005 and so on
If i was a Ford Enginieer i would do the GT500 Super Stallion. The current 5.2 Predator i would develop some special parts unique to the Super Stalion to run 830hp on full E-85 and 780hp at 93. The Super Stallion would have only one color option....Mystichrome with the Ghosted GT500 racing lines.
make sure you take care of the copyrights to this. this was one of my all time favorite videos as I had it in my 'videos'. Fox just claimed copy rights to it and its no longer available. I watched this live on MT TV in 1998, I have the VHS too. Amazing cobra, one I wouldn't mind building.
Now this is a pinnacle, really. I was intending to make roughly the same car on my new edge but with a naturally aspirated sbf instead of boosted modular. But overall, this is a really nice car. Everything is flawless. Idk about flex fuel but the power and suspension could make water wet 😩❤️
Ford was always ahead of its time...Always been top dog in the horsepower race...in the '90's Ford offered a Head and supercharger package for the SN95 body

This didn't age well. The 5.4 is probably the worst engine ford ever produced, and they've had a few bad ones in my lifetime. Honestly though, I don't like fords, I really don't like mustangs, but I'd like to have this one. They built it right.
Ford...... WTF IS GOING ON? Why are there so many mysterious mustangs that should have come out and no other brands would really have been comp. This type of stuff messes with my nerves....... THIS TYPE OF FOOLISHNESS HAS TO STOP
Too expensive probably. Even with it whipping a lot of the competition, the pricing on these parts would have made it expensive as hell to produce. And at the price it would end up at, it probably wouldn't have sold too well, because people may not have wanted to spend so much on a Mustang. Still, makes you kinda wonder why and wish that they had done some sort of limited run of 250-500 units anyways just to put a nice halo car on the market and put a production car on the road that could shame Dodge, Chevrolet x2, and Porsche.
Sn-95 are the sexiest ponys….The Cobra hood and fogs + the rear shot with 315s out back and huge rolled stainless tips❤😍😍😍 🐍

Ol' John Coletti was right about the modular engine! Back in 96' us Ford fans wanted his head! The pushrod 5.0 is ancient news just like he said.
what's been going lately since then with the technology lately?
+Mario Iacolucci Coyote (5.0) Voodoo (5.2) and can't forget about the 3v 4.6 that MMR ran 5's in the 1/4 with. Improving yearly!
Don Young OK thanks
