  • Hi! The roof on my older 1997 Lancer SquireLite 165 had seen better days, but luckily had been resealed in its life and does not leak. I wanted to keep it that way, so I decided to do a little research on what would be the best sealer, and the one I settled on was the Tough Roof RV kit which I purchased through Amazon. Looking back I only needed two gallons, but I did need the whole bag of lap sealant for my roof. Calculate your square footage to help save on expenditures.
It's a good amount of work to prep and plaster, so to speak, so make sure you plan ahead and fix some of those delinquent aging plastics or rusting hardware you may have been neglecting.
Follow the directions well and you should have no issues, and it's totally something you can do yourself if you have a place to so it, and a bit of OCD.
So far it's weathered several FL summertime thunderstorms well, and it's also noticeably cooler inside the camper as well. Now, only time will tell!
If you're thinking about doing this yourself, have a look at the video for an idea what it may take. Sadly we had some difficulty with our new electronics not functioning as they should, otherwise we would've shared more.
Thanks for watching and Good Luck!!
