On the topic of missing cover stories, that’s just an anime-only problem. It’s quite impossible to miss them if you’re reading the manga. They’re LITERALLY the covers. That said, there is a particular one coming up in the next arc. It has never been animated, and it is… “potentially” very important. I would recommend consulting with your mods, or maybe your patreon guys on how to read it when the time comes.
@@blackknight6757 Trying to be careful here. It’s the one that starts on chapter 428, and ends on 474. Technically, they should already be reading it, at this point in the story. But it ends in the middle of the next arc, so it’s not safe to read for anime-only’s.
That final shot before the To Be Continued was also the cover for the post Enies Lobby volume of the manga. Also, since Toei never animated it, here's a rundown of what happens to CP9 after Enies Lobby as per the CP9's Independent Report cover story: * Blueno saves Rob Lucci from the rubble, but he is still unconscious. The CP9 gather and learn that Spandam pushed the blame of Enies Lobby on them. * They escape to an island nearby carrying Rob Lucci and try to raise money for his treatment doing odd jobs like Jabra does circus acts, Kaku plays with kids, and Kalifa cleans the town with her soap abilities. * Rob Lucci recovers. They hang out for a while in the town and save the people from pirates. They commandeer the pirate ship and sail off to their home turf where the next generation of cipher pol is being trained and they just observe that. * Marnies show up to try and capture them, but they are easily defeated. Lucci contacts Spandam who is still recovering from Robin's attack and tells him that he will return some day. That's all you need to know for now.
I like to think that Garp's training is another reason why Luffy was able to learn Shave so fast and Koby having learn after training with Garp kinda supports it. Man, i love Micheal and Hoicheal. Now for One Piece at a time: Welcome to Oda's original plan for One Piece: the Four Emperors. Acording to Oda this was the original scope of the story but after the introduction of the Warlords he has to push the Emperors for later So yeah one of the reasons why One Piece is SO long is thanks to the Warlords.
@@sarafontanini7051 tbf, you sort of start to sea the concept of "Emperors" or leaders of the sea with Kuro before his "capture", Don Krieg and Arlong. They're sort of the leader with what we now know as East Blue.
As you've learned from the Live Action, there are good pirates and there are bad pirates. There are also good marines and bad marines. It's up to you to decide who is who.
Note: his Grandpa was appeared "before" One Piece started: "Romance Dawn Version 2" (a short before One piece started) It got also an animated version in a special episode :D
Has the boldcast crew ever discussed reacting to the manga cover stories? Several are going to be relevant soon-ish, and one in particular tends to blow OP theorists minds.
ah yes! the dragon and garp reveal is THE og "reveal" for one piece. i remember watching this as a kid on my parents little shitty box-tv and being HYPED as all hell
One of the earliest drafts of one piece has Garp as the pirate that inspires luffy and gives him the hat. Most people hadn't seen that before his reveal but die hard fans in japan definently knew.
I am sure people have said this l9ng ago on patreon or in this comment section but if you notice Robin now calls them by their names instead of mr cook or mr swordsman or navigator after they saved her
If you're reading this Carson and Lindsey, the Warlords and Emperors are two different titles that aren't associated with each other. The only thing in common they have is that they're 2 of the 3 great powers in the world.
Finally I have been waiting for both of you to reach this episodes. This was the big reveal. With the Father. Very big difference from the Live Action. Garp is actually the father of Dragon and Grandfather of Luffy since when Garp was a kid he looked like Luffy and when he was a young marine he looked like Dragon. Plus Garp calls Dragon "his son". Not gonna tell more since it's a spoiler territory. About Garp being a "good" marine. It will be explained along the way. So no worries.
Not to be pedantic, but I personally think Garp and Dragon are related by marriage, not blood. I don't recall Garp ever specifically referring to Dragon as his "son". They definitely feel more like in-laws to me lol
@@ICavalcadeI He called him his son in the manga but i dont remember the exact chapter. But personally I also feel like there's a chance they're still not blood related and that garp just generally sees his son in law the same as his real son or that maybe he still raised dragon together with his own daughter.
To be honest, I still don't entirely know where Garp stands. There are some hints, to be sure; but we're still not sure why he's a Marine and what things he's done in his past.
luffy cut his eyes because he want to be tough so he can set sail with shank..i think the reason he cut at that place is because he see his grandpa as tough guy...
Never liked the Scheming Garp of LA. Never in all the 1125 chapters of manga has he acted like a sly fox. He is as abrupt as it gets and is treated like a force of nature.
That's our Garp, master of dropping bombs! 😉 And yeah, we actually heard about Michael and Hoichael earlier in the arc. They were mentioned in sort of a "blink and you'll miss it" joke, so I wouldn't blame anyone for not remembering the reference, especially after all the chaos we just went through in the interim, lol. 😆
It's funny you mention Garp seeming to come out of nowhere cause one of my complaints with the anime is that since they stopped adapting the cover stories tons of characters show up again without really establishing how they got there.
Dragon’s not an Emperor because he’s not a pirate. Whitebeard and Shanks are the only Emperors known at this point in the story. The other two will be revealed in time.
okay so one thing they dont really make clear enough i feel like - pirates, revolutionaries, marines and the world government are all reperate and different entities. the warlords are world government-sanctioned pirates, the four emperors are NOT - they are just incredibly strong so the navy doesnt really mess with them. which is why the government created the seven warlords. to have, together with the marines, 2 forces that, together, could possibly oppose the four emperors (or yonko, as theyre often called). so what we know at this time: ◽pirates: includes the seven warlords (mihawk, doflamingo, blackbeard wants to be one, bartholomew kuma, crocodile WAS one, jimbei the fishman is one, the rest we dont know yet), also includes the four emperors (shanks, whitebeard, two unknowns at this point) ◽ marines: includes people like the 3 admirals, the fleet admiral sengoku whos the head of the marines ◽ world government: includes the five elder stars (the dudes we saw in jaya, theyre like the top TOP dogs in the government), the cp agents, most heads of states in the world (kings and such), and more we dont know yet). also the marines work FOR the world government. ◽ revolutionary army: includes dragon and his people. all these fractions have their own stuff going on, but thats why luffys family is so crazy: garp is one of the top dogs in the marines, dragon is the head of the army that directly oppposes the government (the marines employer), and luffy and ace are crazy notorios pirates. absolute insanity at the family gatherings i presume. but i think thats kinda the beauty of one piece: even before this was revealed, everyone was just cool with the fact that luffy was just. some dude. and i mean, he still kinda just is that - one piece makes it clear that blood relations are not as important as your found family, and luffy didnt even know dragon was his dad lol. he never even told them that a marine vice admiral was his granddad, or that his brother was a notorious pirate himself. i think thats really cool.
I think it was made blatantly clear there’s really no room for misinterpretation. They said pirates don’t mess with the navy or world government but the revolutionary army does separating them. The only one that could be confused is the navy and WG even though they are technically one the same since the navy works under the WG
@@nnightkingj thats great for you, but obviously it wasnt clear enough for these two. in almost every reaction i watch, people arent super clear on what the distinctions are, even though you think its obvious.
FYI, Garp refusing to be promoted is a spoiler. I just wanted to let you know that you are not supposed to know about this at this point in the story. Obviously, there is a reason behind Garp's decision, but that's a spoiler and I hope nobody spoils you and you don't look it up.
It's such a perfect moment, cause they have just declared war on the world government and to find out LUFFY of all people is the grandson of the HERO OF THE NAVY. Idk why the live action did that tbh. Don't have many episodes to do I guess
@@GirthCheck To be fair... The Garp being his Grandfather and never arrests him thing is pretty strange all around even in the Manga, Anime. It's just a cool quirky story point and I like it and I don't care WHERE they drop it. I didn't think it was bad how they dropped it earlier. It was BOUND to happen once Garp was engaging with the Straw Hats in battle directly. The decision to include Garp so early was in and of itself a decision to move up his reveal. Also we must keep in mind that the Dragon reveal can and will be just as impactful.
@benjaminroe311ify idk what it added to the live action to reveal it immediately but I guess the op live action fans will have the dragon reveal. Even though we have no familiarity with dragon really. Idk if they didn't plan on getting to water 7 or they did it in case they didn't? Idk

Now you can go back to the live action and see Dragon's "cameo" in Loguetown in the prologue during Roger's execution along with the Revolutionary Army easter egg in the newspaper in the last episode next to Luffy's wanted poster that Kaya's reading. Fun times. I can't wait for so many more easter eggs and more of these reactions
34:43 Most of the community still thinks that Garps Daugher is Luffys Mom (myself included) because them saying "so Dragon is Garps Son" is not really evidence for that imo.
Cover stories ARE NOT supplementary. That filler list that said that the Garp episodes were filler is wrong and garbage. Please do not base any information off of a dumbass filler list that thinks the cover stories are not cannon or are supplementary. We see the effects of the covers stories in the world of One Piece, they are without a shadow of a doubt cannon.
Mozu and Kiwi are my favorite parts of these 2 episodes. The doing poses in the background bit cracks me up and if it were socially acceptable to do in real life I would totally be doing that.
Don't think too much about the identities of the other two of the Four Emperors. These characters have not yet been seen or introduced to the story. As of right now, we have no idea who they are. Their identity will be revealed in the future.
Something that is also really nice is that a ship is a crews home. So now Robins home will be made of the same wood as the Tree of Knowledge that she used to consider home.
you should really start reading the cover stories as you go along. Maybe on every arc wrap up you can read the cover story that accompanied that arc in the manga.
The talk about Garp just "suddenly showing up out of nowhere in the manga" is why a lot of OP fans fight you to death over certain story beats being planned well in advance by Oda. Those story beats feel improvised to you, but thats just because Oda intentionally withheld that info. So you might be wondering, "Well if thats the case how the hell can the fans say it was planned by Oda before writing", its also because, like you say, due to "supplementary material". Imo some SBSes and all the Cover Stories aren't really that supplementary because they're physically attached to the volumes you purchase, the readers may choose to skip it, but its like calling the OP title cards "filler", no, they're canon material, just because they're very often skipped over doesn't make them supplementary material, although the point still stands that they're easy to miss (and thus those fans should be more lenient on you guys and on any 1st time reader/watcher really, which is I think what you guys were getting at? which is fair imo) What would be more in line with supplementary material though is stuff like character sketches, room tours, interviews, etc, and yes sometimes that's the only way we figure out some characters were in the works 5 years before they were even name dropped in the manga or something. Other easy to miss foreshadowing/proof of intentional and long-term writing over improv include some one-off panels where Oda draws something or someone as an inconspicuous background character only for that background character to show up 500 chapters later, some one-off lines, etc. Proof that Oda is not just improv-ing (ie he does improv, but he does other things too) is very, very easy to miss, but when you see them, even with the "improv-y" feel some story beats may emanate it becomes hard to tell, after all if something as core to the One Piece idea like Garp can be introduced this jarringly and seemingly out-of-nowhere into the story, whats to say other improv feeling parts weren't intended to feel out-of-nowhere and improv but was actually planned by Oda back when he was still in the womb or something? Perhaps instead of being good at improv, Oda's greater skill is making planned and premeditated plot points feel like improv, to the point where even people like you, who are practically on the same level as the authors of the works themselves in terms of reading comprehension and analysis, cannot tell that it's just imitation improv, like really good imitation crab/crab meat.
I miss the watercolour backdrops and old artstyle too. Characters designs have already started to shift a little bit, Chopper has been pikachu'd slightly and has lost some of his snout and shaggy fur by this point.
One thing when it comes to Garp is it's not clear if prior to this point Garp was planned to be "Hero of the Marines". He's introduced as a Vice-Admail in the cover story, but if he was planned and revealed to be just a random Vice Admiral, he would have felt less of a big deal than what we got. Dragon was always a big deal though.
It's easy to miss, but when they're talking about the Four Emperors and that graphic appears behind Garp (which you freeze-framed for discussion), *the fourth emperor's face is in the lower left*, mostly covered up by Garp's cape. I wish they made it clearer but I'm guessing they probably did that because that particular emperor's part in the main story wasn't finalized yet. Anyway, I'm glad you reached this moment! Looking forward to the rest of the saga's wrap-up as well.
So far there has been no mention of Garp refusing to be promoted to Admiral and it is interesting how long it will take to find out as it makes more sense in a future when the world building continue to expand.
14:06 - "Harping on" is a great way to describe it. 😅 I hope you'll find that most story beats like this have a resolution, it just takes time to get there and it MAY take longer due to pacing.
as Robin said, pirates don't engage with the govt. revolutionaries do. so Dragon is not a pirate is the clear insinuation. the 4 emperors are proper pirates.
To be honest with you, the way Garp is incenced at Luffy's behavior kind of hints at something where you might be on the money: He says "you're impudent, even though you are only the kid of my kid!" To me, this has always been a subtle hint that Dragon was the son in law. But yeah, there are other materials (official ones) that kind of state that Dragon is Garp's son. They could be retconned in the future, of course, but...
100% agree that One Piece doesn't really just revolve around Luffy. The OP world is so vast, so many characters and plot lines that will interconnect somehow which is really really great for a story telling standpoint. I personally didn't love one piece just by the characters alone but the in depth story or lores around it. The next arcs after this arc, will be the 1st peak of Oda dishing out his Story! Can't wait for you guys to react on it!
Worth noting that fan translations of Adam called it the "jewel tree", which communicates the idea of it being not just precious and valuable, but durable as well. No idea which is more accurate between Jewel or Treasure, but it's an interesting note.
@@georockmann7113I wouldn't default to the official translation just because it's official, especially this early on. After all, those errors and the refusal to correct them later once they knew better is how the official manga translation got stuck with the name Roranoa Zolo. I'm just saying that human error is a thing, and the translations have been shown to be wrong on occasion, as well as a preference to staying consistent over accurate.
I don't know if Dragon's ties to Luffy were set in stone from the start (I suspect they were), but his importance to the world definitely was from his first appearance. His first appearance had Smoker being completely shocked that Dragon would show up and help a seemingly random pirate, which shows he was meant to be a big deal, even then Especially since Smoker doesn't even try to fight him despite getting in the way, suggesting that Dragon either significantly outranks him in the marines, or is a known third party who is so strong that Smoker flat out knows he won't win and doesn't even try. But we actually learn more about Dragon between then and now which is proof he's been meant to be important even before this. During Drum Island, we get more info during Dalton's flashback of Vivi's interaction with Wapol at the Reverie. While Dalton is remembering it, we get a brief explanation that the Reverie is a meeting between the royalty of the world where they discuss global affairs. And during the flashback to that reverie, the royalty name drops Dragon, mention that he's stirring up trouble as a revolutionary, and that he could become a major threat later on. So his role in the world was already revealed during a completely different flashback that had nothing to do with him at all.
I also thought for a second that maybe Smoker was Luffy's dad the first time I watched this 😂 I didnt remember Dragon at all until the flashback came in
Welcome to tge new standard formula going forward. The small spaces in-between arcs are someone the community's favorite thing about One Piece. It's now Lore Piece!
Part of the beauty of One Piece's world building and story telling is how simply each element is presented at any given time, yet over time all of these simply presented threads are woven into a very complex, intricate, and beautiful tapestry. That's one of the reasons why One Piece's extreme length very much works in its favor. It allows the true scope of the world and what's going on within it to be revealed slowly, in easily understood bits that are connected to each other gradually. And so a silly, goofy story about gimmicky pirates in a world filled with child-like wonder is slowly able to build itself into an epic that can rival the classics.
There is a worldwide notion when discussing The Big 3, unlike Naruto and Bleach where you have of course the main protagonist and how he affects the world throughout their stories, as for Luffy’s Journey, it is written as an IMMENSE world, and how it changes throughout the story, ultimately affecting Luffy’s and the Strawhat’s journey. It is a story of a grand world ever-changing (in which yall have no idea yet) and how our Captain has to manage his way through these political powers thus changing not the world but each island/destination he visits #peak
I think that they mentioned Garp being one of the few that hunted Roger, somewhere in the manga, before the reveal 😂... but anyway I think that the cover stories are very integral to the manga, you should not skip them if you read it
I really liked gar’s extended role in the live action. Having him be a consistent antagonist throughout the series was good from a narrative standpoint and a lot of his new scenes were really great. I especially loved him meeting up with Zeff and talking about the new generation getting out by themselves. Also I loved that it established that Garp has as big a stomach as Luffy lol.
It's not really confirmed that Dragon is Garp's son, especially with how the man phrases details about Dragon. Just that Dragon is Luffy's father. Others just assumed that Dragon is Garp's son, not son-in-law, 'cause there isn't much known about even Garp's wife or that he even had a child. The fact that Dragon doesn't look like Garp or Luffy, makes you wonder if Dragon then takes more after Garp's unknown wife, or is a son-in-law and married Garp's daughter. Spoilers: there is also another man not yet introduced in One Piece at this time, that looks shockingly like Dragon, but I won't say more on that.
Doflamingo amd blackbeard are not emperors, neither is even the strongest warlord. Also each emperor crew is on par with the entirety of the marines and the world government they are crazy strong.
Maybe it's a bit silly to say this, but you two would have been killers in One Piece theory if you had followed the show week by week. Who knows? Maybe once you catch up with all the episodes? (in a million years)
I equate Dragon to Roger, because as far as I know Dragon isn't a pirate, he operates on land, he's the worlds biggest criminal, not the biggest pirate :D
The four emperors are none of the warlords or Blackbeard Garp stated the warlords and the marines are in blance woth these 4 emperors. So doflamingo and bpacbeard are not part of the emperors.

That said, there is a particular one coming up in the next arc. It has never been animated, and it is… “potentially” very important. I would recommend consulting with your mods, or maybe your patreon guys on how to read it when the time comes.
Which cover story you talking about?
@@blackknight6757 Trying to be careful here. It’s the one that starts on chapter 428, and ends on 474. Technically, they should already be reading it, at this point in the story. But it ends in the middle of the next arc, so it’s not safe to read for anime-only’s.
@raiserzero2 Oh, it's that one. Thanks! And yeah, I'd like them to read cover stories too and also the SBS segments.
Garp: “I’ll break a wall to fix a wall. Thats just the kind of guy I am!!!”
That final shot before the To Be Continued was also the cover for the post Enies Lobby volume of the manga.
Also, since Toei never animated it, here's a rundown of what happens to CP9 after Enies Lobby as per the CP9's Independent Report cover story:
* Blueno saves Rob Lucci from the rubble, but he is still unconscious.
9:19 funny thing is that lulu and tilestone thought these two were the one who attacked iceberg.
I like to think that Garp's training is another reason why Luffy was able to learn Shave so fast and Koby having learn after training with Garp kinda supports it.
Man, i love Micheal and Hoicheal.
Now for One Piece at a time:
Welcome to Oda's original plan for One Piece: the Four Emperors.
Acording to Oda this was the original scope of the story but after the introduction of the Warlords he has to push the Emperors for later
So yeah one of the reasons why One Piece is SO long is thanks to the Warlords.
And it's all because of Mihawk 🐐
oh shit so the four emperors were always a thing? I guess i should've taken that as fact but just hearing this now jsut feels wild.
Note: his Grandpa was appeared "before" One Piece started: "Romance Dawn Version 2" (a short before One piece started)
It got also an animated version in a special episode :D
Has the boldcast crew ever discussed reacting to the manga cover stories? Several are going to be relevant soon-ish, and one in particular tends to blow OP theorists minds.
They NEED to see the Enel one
Garp kicked Dragon's face using a hard shoe, and that's where Dragon got his tattoo.
🗿
Put spoiler tag please.
ah yes! the dragon and garp reveal is THE og "reveal" for one piece. i remember watching this as a kid on my parents little shitty box-tv and being HYPED as all hell
One of the earliest drafts of one piece has Garp as the pirate that inspires luffy and gives him the hat. Most people hadn't seen that before his reveal but die hard fans in japan definently knew.
I am sure people have said this l9ng ago on patreon or in this comment section but if you notice Robin now calls them by their names instead of mr cook or mr swordsman or navigator after they saved her
Make sense 😂
Buggy as one of the four great pirates is crazy😂😂😂
I know guys chill
I want buggy to become an emperor 😤
you already forgot that in the live action. Garp already told coby as to why he did'nt want to be promoted in the admiral position
I love how the fourth person in one of the four emperors is just a really mysterious person.
It's charlos with his head smashed in
This video will be in atleast top 10 viewed videos of this channel, Power of Garp the fist & huge lore drop
If you're reading this Carson and Lindsey, the Warlords and Emperors are two different titles that aren't associated with each other. The only thing in common they have is that they're 2 of the 3 great powers in the world.
Masashi kishimoto can only create 3 characters : naruto, sasuke and sakura. that's why every team from every generation has those 3 characters.
@@ICavalcadeI he does in the future, hes the son of garp
@@ICavalcadeI Spoiler for something that will be in the anime in a few weeks from now.
Garp has called Dragon his son in chapter 1087
@@ICavalcadeI He called him his son in the manga but i dont remember the exact chapter. But personally I also feel like there's a chance they're still not blood related and that garp just generally sees his son in law the same as his real son or that maybe he still raised dragon together with his own daughter.
To be honest, I still don't entirely know where Garp stands.
There are some hints, to be sure; but we're still not sure why he's a Marine and what things he's done in his past.
One piece can be shorted to: GARP ITS YOUR FAMILY AGAIN!
luffy cut his eyes because he want to be tough so he can set sail with shank..i think the reason he cut at that place is because he see his grandpa as tough guy...
you guys keep on pumping content and i love it!
Never liked the Scheming Garp of LA.
Never in all the 1125 chapters of manga has he acted like a sly fox. He is as abrupt as it gets and is treated like a force of nature.
@@askalad
Complete agreement.
In LA he either whines all the time or acts like just another stuck up marine..
Carson said Doflamingo and bro has no idea who he is yet, lol his name just holds so much aura
That's our Garp, master of dropping bombs! 😉
And yeah, we actually heard about Michael and Hoichael earlier in the arc.
The Craziest Family In One Piece.
Shanks says "hi "
@@FirstName-es7nwHi 😁
Dragon’s not an Emperor because he’s not a pirate.
Whitebeard and Shanks are the only Emperors known at this point in the story. The other two will be revealed in time.
I really like that you guys are analyzing Garp and his position in the world. Keep that kind of thinking
okay so one thing they dont really make clear enough i feel like - pirates, revolutionaries, marines and the world government are all reperate and different entities. the warlords are world government-sanctioned pirates, the four emperors are NOT - they are just incredibly strong so the navy doesnt really mess with them. which is why the government created the seven warlords. to have, together with the marines, 2 forces that, together, could possibly oppose the four emperors (or yonko, as theyre often called).
so what we know at this time:
◽pirates: includes the seven warlords (mihawk, doflamingo, blackbeard wants to be one, bartholomew kuma, crocodile WAS one, jimbei the fishman is one, the rest we dont know yet), also includes the four emperors (shanks, whitebeard, two unknowns at this point)
◽ marines: includes people like the 3 admirals, the fleet admiral sengoku whos the head of the marines
◽ world government: includes the five elder stars (the dudes we saw in jaya, theyre like the top TOP dogs in the government), the cp agents, most heads of states in the world (kings and such), and more we dont know yet). also the marines work FOR the world government.
These next reactions gonna be insane!
FYI, Garp refusing to be promoted is a spoiler. I just wanted to let you know that you are not supposed to know about this at this point in the story. Obviously, there is a reason behind Garp's decision, but that's a spoiler and I hope nobody spoils you and you don't look it up.
Rewatching those episodes with yall make me realize how good one piece is frl😂 especially the 314 ep
Giving away Garp's identity away that early was one of the live action series greatest blunders.
Well...maybe... Live Action was still awesome though.
It's such a perfect moment, cause they have just declared war on the world government and to find out LUFFY of all people is the grandson of the HERO OF THE NAVY. Idk why the live action did that tbh. Don't have many episodes to do I guess
it's really not
@@GirthCheck To be fair...
Idk
in the original romance dawn, Garp had taken the place of Shanks (a pirate who mentored luffy and was the reason luffy got the gum gum fruit via stupidity), so here its funny to have him instead be the OPPOSITE
27:24 All of CP9 Saga, from the moment the Merry got stuck on those sea-rails by Kokoro's station, was a set up for the reveal that puberty hit Coby *like a train*
Been waiting for this one🍿
In EL, the Franky Family declared that they are the Strawhat Pirates. I think that played a role as well on why the blame was placed only on the Strawhats. They'd be like the unnamed pirates a,b,c,etc for the Strawhats.😅😁
Thriller Bark is my absolute favorite, can’t wait for yall to see it haha
34:43 Most of the community still thinks that Garps Daugher is Luffys Mom (myself included) because them saying "so Dragon is Garps Son" is not really evidence for that imo.
Cover stories ARE NOT supplementary. That filler list that said that the Garp episodes were filler is wrong and garbage. Please do not base any information off of a dumbass filler list that thinks the cover stories are not cannon or are supplementary. We see the effects of the covers stories in the world of One Piece, they are without a shadow of a doubt cannon.
They really tryna make dragon the bad guy, while the world government literally tryna obtain the ancient power. Look how scared all of em😂
So now Robins home will be made of the same wood as the Tree of Knowledge that she used to consider home.
if you re-watch the opening scene in the Live Action, you can see Dragon blending with the public during Roger's Execution.
you should really start reading the cover stories as you go along. Maybe on every arc wrap up you can read the cover story that accompanied that arc in the manga.
27:00 Priceless reactions like these is why this arc is so peak!
Garp is goat. cant wait for you guys to reach the latest epsiode . haha
The thing is cover stories are literally the first page of the manga. The only way you miss it is if you purposely ignore it lol
I miss the watercolour backdrops and old artstyle too. Characters designs have already started to shift a little bit, Chopper has been pikachu'd slightly and has lost some of his snout and shaggy fur by this point.
I know that teens grow fast but the way Coby completely changed his whole face in just a few months is insane lmao
All the names of the Emperors are mentioned right there in the episode. You guys should watch it again.
Michael and hoichael They were originally suspected by Tilestone and Peepley Lulu to be the assassins who were after Iceburg
08:57 You're technically not wrong there, Carson.
Sadly the Tree of Knowledge and the Jewel Tree Adam are two different types of trees
So those books and knowledge are no longer on Ohara 😢
So far there has been no mention of Garp refusing to be promoted to Admiral and it is interesting how long it will take to find out as it makes more sense in a future when the world building continue to expand.
Cover stories are impossible to miss tbh, either physically or digitally
14:06 - "Harping on" is a great way to describe it. 😅 I hope you'll find that most story beats like this have a resolution, it just takes time to get there and it MAY take longer due to pacing.
To make it clear
Four Emperors (which is shanks, whitebeard, and two others), Seven Warlords, and the navy
These 3 are balanced forces in grandline
as Robin said, pirates don't engage with the govt. revolutionaries do. so Dragon is not a pirate is the clear insinuation. the 4 emperors are proper pirates.
The post arc episodes/chapters are always the best , expands the verse so much .
3:20 Do it with a Don! 👀🥁
If its just a fan translation then obviously treasure tree is more accurate
I also thought for a second that maybe Smoker was Luffy's dad the first time I watched this 😂 I didnt remember Dragon at all until the flashback came in
3:39 cutest reaction ever hahaha when she realized franky spent the crew money xDD
I'm so excited for you guys to get to the next couple of arcs. ALL of your questions and concerns about these characters will be answered.
such a great episode, love the big reveal!~ thanks for the reaction guys ^.^
Welcome to tge new standard formula going forward. The small spaces in-between arcs are someone the community's favorite thing about One Piece. It's now Lore Piece!
Without spoiling anything: One deai of Dragon is that he has a great sense of direction 😂
Dragon can’t be an emperor because he is not a pirate, he’s a Revolutionist.
This time of year is perfect timing for the next arc.
This channel has the best discussions man 💯
I think that they mentioned Garp being one of the few that hunted Roger, somewhere in the manga, before the reveal 😂...
but anyway I think that the cover stories are very integral to the manga, you should not skip them if you read it
I really liked gar’s extended role in the live action.
Oda drew Luffy at ages 40 and 60.
At 40, he looks a lot like Shanks.
At 60, he looks just like Garp.
Finally I couldn’t wait for yall to get to dis part 😅 everytime yall would ask about Dragon It took a lot outta me to not spoil😂😂
(in a million years)
Ehh, at 2 eps per upload it'll only be a few years. I'm sure One Piece will still be going by that point haha
“Your Dad is the Most Wanted Revolutionary!…Forget i said that!”😂😂😂😂
I equate Dragon to Roger, because as far as I know Dragon isn't a pirate, he operates on land, he's the worlds biggest criminal, not the biggest pirate :D
The four emperors are none of the warlords or Blackbeard Garp stated the warlords and the marines are in blance woth these 4 emperors. So doflamingo and bpacbeard are not part of the emperors.
