We may only be in the early months of 2024 but we are ever anxious and excited to show you all what gems we have in store for you! Prepare yourselves for a storm of releases on our label from artists new and all time favorites. Time to bring out two talented folks from the shadows and into the spotlight. Colombian Juan Buitrago and Argentinian Tomas Dabarno are locked and ready! Joining forces was a great idea which led them to enter the gates of our beloved sub label Perfecto Black with a stunning two track release. It includes Resilience and Flourish, two enigmatic tunes that will undoubtedly be loved.
Resilience is packed with the absolute essentials: a no nonsense percussion, a deep attitude and a solid bassline sprinkled with mischievous effects, intricate chimes and a spiral-like synthline. Progressive grooves come quickly into play, alongside nostalgia driven melodies. The casual use and appearance of enhanced and spaced out cinematic-like vocals adds an extra inspiring touch to the track. The break makes full use of their potential, flowing along the intriguing melodies. Melodic droplets and the main synths eagerly take control after the break, bringing everything into perspective, building on the story line, influencing us all to go that extra mile despite the hardships that may lay in our path.
Flourish follows in its predecessor’s footsteps. Beefed up basslines, a pesky percussion and an intricate synthline get things rolling. Subterranean melodies do the trick juiced up by an assortment of cleverly selected effects, bringing a mysterious yet powerful aura to the track. Undergroudish, shimmering synths and a driving progressive influenced groove keep us definitely on edge, while consciously guiding us all onto the correct path, one that leads to redemption and our ultimate destiny.
Any of these two tracks are a sure win for any DJ set. Proper atmosphere building for the wise!
