  • Today, I start on the journey to becoming a horologist. We're kicking things off with a distance learning course from the British Horological Institute; The diploma in watch and clock servicing. In this video we're covering the introduction, and by the end we'll know, roughly, what we're letting ourselves in for. Details of the course can be found at bhi.co.uk/training-education/...
So, if you've ever wondered what it takes to become a clock/watchmaker, keep watching!

Nice video production, look forward to watching your progress. Maybe too late, but have you considered SIP panels for your workshop construction?

Thanks! As I get used to the equipment the quality should improve. Still a long way to go.

Great vid. Just found you. Do you know if BHI offers clock and watch tech together still or would I need to pick one or the other. Really want to take both if possible. Keep safe and again great vid!

Nothing shoddy here, Sir. Incredibly well put together. Watch out [pun, pun], I may end up commissioning you to make me a dual reading 24hr / vigesimal-decimal clock with half-speed hour hand. Eagerly awaiting your next installment. You were made for YT.
