Brilliant!! As a Jaipur-vaasi who grew up when it was all MG, I do feel nostalgic watching this video... As a kid I remember watching MG trains like Pink City Express and Chetak Express go about their daily routine from the roof of my house then... those were either simpler times, or it is simply that old, esp childhood, is gold. Life, however, moves on and times change... looking forward to electrification in the coming year or two. :)
An exceptional documentary. What a beautiful video! The fans of India and its railways are filled. The shots are out of the ordinary often taken in height showing all the moving train. These metric tracks are very attractive with their YDM 4 diesel locomotives, formerly with their Y P steam locomotives that we reviewed here. Busy stations, mechanical signage, Jessop passenger cars and even a steam-powered crane ... a whole railway world. Thank you very much. This has a historical value because the metric track is more and more converted to the broad gauge.
I am from Rajgarh and maternal home is there in Sikar ,I used to travel Sikar via Churu and moment you board train from Churu and moment u entered region of Fatehpur Shekhawati and Ramgarh Shekhawati u feel like u came back in history when u saw those majestic havelis..
I used to be the main express All steam and whistles heading west Picking up my pain from door to door Riding on the storyline Furnace burning overtime But this train don't stop, This train don't stop, This train don't stop there anymore - Elton John From delectable to despicable locations, your passion for trains and their stories is unwavering :) Can almost smell the journey. Beautiful.
A marvelous piece of documentary. It can surely be presented to any television channel to be broadcast all over India. Every India should get to know about the rich heritage of the Indian Railways.
What a beautiful video. We only wish we had such videos taken about various metre gauge trains esp. pink city express vaigai express etc. that were super super fast and even faster than many BG super fast trains. It is all history now and we can atleast console ourselves with this video. Thanks a billion for this.
Wonderful video. Being a huge meter gauge fan from indore traveled lot from indore to ratlam and ajmer. One od the best video ever seen.great job.well done.
