Fantastic stuff. Cantonese food would definitely fit in Times Square especially in the winter. I love a bowl of noodle soup in the winter especially with that Al detente chewy texture you were talking about
To be honest I haven't tried a ton. One local favorite of mine is LN1380 for generalized Cantonese food. Everything they do is quality with one minor exception, their beef chow fun. I haven't really tried a huge variety in Queens so I don't know. As for roast meats, since there's so many roast meat restaurants, I just go with what I see visually. If there's visible lines and turnover of their meats hanging in their windows, I would take that as a sign for good roast meats, including roast pork.
Hi Arthur, it seems like this place is far from the ideal restaurants that we want to go. The beef rice roll doesn't look appealing, it is dry and mushy. The noodle soup seems ok. Any way thanks for the video and have a good day.
Thanks for the comments! Many times I just try places just to give it a chance. I actually love going to places where you wouldn't expect much but get surprised (good or bad).
Hi Arthur...beef cheong fun looked promising, but when you started eating it, it looked old and mushy 😮🤔...bbq soup looked edible, but I don't like noodle soups 😋...😮 the crispy pork belly was really disappointing 😢...it didn't even look appetizing or the right ratio of fat to meat....guess I'll have to pass on this one...have a nice weekend ❤😊
Yes you’re probably correct. 50 years ago, I think there was a Tads Steak house, Howard Johnson’s restaurant and a bunch of diner style joints along with telephone booths.
I am disappointed that they gave you all white meat roast pig. They gave you the worst driest portion. It seems like maybe you can ask if they can give you the belly if they refused then don’t order
Thanks for the honest review. If I have to eat this, I would rather go to a typical Chinese American takeout place. Much cheaper and just as non-satisfying.
That’s a good question. It’s not really about being in Times Square. The surrounding areas just outside of Times Square can be a lot of fun. I plan on visiting Gallaghers Steak House which is just outside of Times Square in a few months. It has a cool classic midtown city vibe that you can’t get in other parts of NYC in the evening

It's a decent spot if someone doesn't want to spend the $5.80 round trip to go to Chinatown.
I am a glad that you review Cantonese food that is what I like
Thank you!
What are your fav cantonese places in Queens? Im desperately looking for a good roast pork spot lol...

Great restaurant, but you got to change it up. I knew exactly what you were going to order even before it came lol.
You're right! I tried to cover the classics, but next time I'll try something new.

Have a great weekend too!
Hey it's near Times Square. Wouldn't have happened 50 years ago.
Great place to go to right before getting into the Port Authority!

You need to try Maxi’s in flushing
Definitely on list! THANKS!
How much was the tab? Why 1.59 subscribers? This is like a cafeteria? You should pan the layout.

I actually like the all white pork meat.... I'm not into the fatty part and skin.
Would have been nice if they honored that picture in their menu.

Based on what I saw, I wouldn't want to eat there. Nothing looks appealing and I'm sure the foods not that good.
