It's not 2003 onwards tho is it, the T5 and T5.1 have different dashboards with completly different radios.
Please note... should you remove the front facia plugs including the Abs warning light, air bag lights etc Do not switch on your ignition as a fault will be displayed on the dash. The warning will have to be reset at the workshop via the OBD. The temptation to try your radio before replacing the plugs will be there. You can get your own Bluetooth obd device and reset the lights yourself using an app.

Be aware that there is *no* switched live feed on the later CD player featured here. It's a CAN-BUS stereo so senses ignition on/off. Forget running a cable from the ignition switch and look at getting a loom adaptor with built in can-bus support.
That will not work for the earliest T5s with the rectangular stereo like the RCD200. On those you do not need to remove any panel, just use 4 special tools to pull the stereo.

thank you for the vid. i have a T5 2010 model. Radio has not aux but has factory hands free. if I try to play music it say's adtp not connected. Is it possible to play stream and play itunes music through this set up?
