Just signed on this camper this past weekend and your video helped in our decision making. Thank you!! We’re upgrading from a 1999 hybrid StarCraft so we are PUMPED!!
Here's one to start with bit.ly/3tOTi3U Perhaps some Embers as well "Off Road" means different things to different people How do you intend to use yours? That'll help
@@JoshtheRVNerd Agree with this commentor and would love to see more off-road. I would consider that to mean: - Very sturdy frame and suspension system. - Higher clearance and high ply reliable tires with at least one full spare. - At least 60 gals fresh - prefer more. - Quality standard (and expandable) solar system AND built in generator. - Built inside to focus on the outside rather than the entertainment system. Thank you!
Alta rear bath layout should have a bigger window (there's no towel rack). Larger rear windows to look out is a must and you can always cover up. For all RV designers that can move the rack!
@@JoshtheRVNerd East to West claims that the roof is laminated (5"). The suggested build quality seems better than Rockwood Mini, but a factory tour would be super helpful on my future decision.
Happy belated Father's Day my dude. I think the tv is a sufficient size given proximity to it. Also, I have never heard "crap on a spatula" before but I appreciate it and I'm stealing it.
Thanks for the review, fantastic info as always. If available to you, would you be able to review a Passport 2400RB? Very interested to hear your thoughts on it.
Nothing is stopping you from putting in a bigger tv that surface mounts outside of the wood paneling. Use a full motion extended mount and swivel it so you can see it from the bathroom.
New website. Some of the things we asked them to put in like length filter didn’t seem to get done. We are working on a lot of things like that Ty for mentioning it though
I Like that table!! Lots of storage in this unit, very nice! Kitchen layout also is nice and I like the long window. Happy Father's Day, now take a day off to enjoy!
I guess you could say that once flat-panel TV became standard, 32" became the typical minimum size for AC powered ones, while that was about as large as CRT models generally were upgradeable to.
@@JoshtheRVNerd yes half of the older chain hotels have upgraded to 40" screens by now, so that can drive some people's preferences for RV amenities too.
My wife really likes this one. I like the king bed. I like the bathroom. I literally would refuse to buy a trailer with 2 sinks in the bathroom. What a waste of space! That tv area is goofy for sure. It seems they could have fit a larger TV quite easily. Definitely limited on counter space. 2 ac units are a necessity. Even a smaller unit in the bedroom would be good. How big is the gap at the bottom of the bathroom door? We camp in the Southeast so using the bedroom for a travel stop isn't likely. Nothing like a nap when it's 120 degrees inside.
I didn't measure the bath door gap so I really don't have a good answer for you. It's nothing that concerned me personally but everyone has their own preferences of course. A team member on site could check that
I think we do at one of our locations but I haven't been able to get my hands on it. Jayco just came out with a version of that in the Eagle HT series I have coming soon though
We first saw this model at the Tampa RV show. It has many nice features for the price point. I like the enclosed service bay. Much like Winnebago. It is great that you are now able to look at and review more brands! Ralph and Carol Fobair - Arizona
I am also starting to become a fan of the East to West Alta series of campers; this model looks very much like the Grand Design Imagine 2600 RB model in many respects. Agree with you on the table; would be better as a two leg setup in my opinion. Also like that front storage area with how they framed out the water and electrical hookup area, and mounted the 12 V shut off switch out of the way as well. Appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos; it definitely helps your customers see how the features can be used for their camping needs! Thank You again for all your efforts in bringing us these videos! All the Best! ~Lou
I am 100% with you. I see inspiration from other models (imagine for sure like you mentioned), but I also see where Alta has been finding their own way about things They’re growing on me
Agree on the TV - it will age the RV just like the old CRT TVs boxed-in in old houses or RVs. The only caution is that I think they would need some trim just to ensure that someone coming around the corner wouldn’t accidentally hit it.
Josh, your pretty spot on on your assessment of the solar capability on this one. We have a factory 175 watt panel and the 12v compressor fridge on our Freedom Express, so far this summer doing our usual dry camping at National Forest Campgrounds here in Colorado, the solar setup has just barely been breaking even overnight(dropping down to about 12.4-12.6v by sunup or about 60% charge) and thats with very minimal 12v usage besides the fridge, and easily recharging quickly during the day. We do have 3 year old dual 6v deep cycles that have been well maintained. For anyone looking to drycamp with a similar setup the dual 6v is a bare minimum without destroying your battery overnight.
Similar floor plan to our Winnebago Voyage 2831RB. We found it after Thor screwed us on a pre-ordered Jayco Eagle 272RKS in 2020. They drug out our build date for 9 months, raised the price $2500 then declined to build our RV…. Then wanted our dealer to try and sell us another Jayco! Lmao I wouldn’t have bought a Thor product at that point for 50% off! We love our Winnebago Voyage! We were close to the Cougar 2600rb but liked the Voyage better.
Happy Fathers Day! i am very impressed with east to west's price points even on their solid sided units, let alone their stick and tin ones...their attention to detail is prolly a little better than many of the other manufacturers that sell for almost twice as much. i dunno how or when they came from, but imho they are quickly going straight to the top. Thank You for what you do, Sir...its very informative and and well respected and appreciated.
Think the TV could be next size up Like the under bed drawer set up. Granted, hate to have to lift all the time, but would rather have them than not. Give me a faucet in bathroom with higher arc.
Obviously there’s no rv that trips everyone’s trigger But if you have a chance see one of these in person and spend more than just a minute in it. I originally felt exactly how you did when I first saw these. But I kept my eyes open and gave the a chance. The more time I spend in these the more I like them This is a pretty common layout and I don’t know that a lot of the Alta flair punches thru But stuff like the 2350 or 1900 jump right out to me
Ok here it is, I must have a larger tv. Maybe just a couple of inches bigger. The bedroom is great. The bathroom was great until I saw the open cabinets. A little door to cover the front wouldn’t cost that much. Thanks for the great video !!
I would say that this camper is great for a couple that genuinely wants to go camp, not tailgate. The TV is more than adequate for people who don't care that much about watching it, and those walls around it give better storage space
I love the idea about the second folding leg! Having it bracket to the wall with the 2 legs sounds like best of both worlds! I am always glad when they go with the larger dinette, so it cut off the bedroom, I think I'm ok with that. I think I kinda go with the no door bedroom, but it would make it easier not to disturb the littles on the recliners or dinette. Very cool tool chest step swaption!
They did a good job here Nerd! I’ve checked out some East to West RVs before and always walked away underwhelmed, but I like this one. Nice big awning, carpetless and ventless flooring, and the under bed storage are all hits on this one. They also put the battery shutoff switch in a good spot so it won’t get damaged by cargo in the storage bay. I think the lack of a bedroom door to the outside is a good thing on this one so that you get more usable space. I do thing the storage bay is a little too small as is the TV. Like you, I’m not a fan of the open cabinets in the bathroom. Max air fans would definitely be better in this unit too. In regards to the boxed in window valances- I like those. They really get the camper dark inside when the shades are drawn. Great review Nerd! Looking forward to the next one!
Happy Father's Day, Josh!!! Kinda like the late night video. I am becoming a fan of East to West. They are putting out some really cool stuff. I don't get why these manufacturers are putting in the small fans and open storage. SMH. I think both are a big deal. Just weird. I agree about the table. Solar is great! Enclosed docking!!! Yes! And appreciate the tool box under the stairs. Thanks for the video!!! Appreciate the continued info and all the different rvs you are showing us. Are you planning to do any videos on Riverstone? Would love to see the new 442MC. You rock, Josh!
I feel like they should have just gone all the way and used a free-floating table for the dinette, they got sooo close. I love the space in the bathroom! I do wish they had put doors on the shelving in there though, sure the towels will stay put but my shampoo and conditioner bottles are a little heavier. I like the underbed storage. I like those double bedside drawers but I feel like they could have done a better job integrating them with the hanging storage. When you know you're going to need to jerryrig a solution before the RV ever leaves the lot you should be looking at a different RV which is sad because otherwise I like the way they handled this floorplan.
Jury rigging is something else entirely and can get you jail time. :-D I've only heard one variation and that one is not appropriate so it will always be jerryrig to me.
Not bad, not bad at all. A couple things, the usb and outlets by the bed should be behind the drawers in the cubby space. Definitely agree with removing the tv framing to allow for a much larger display. Would have liked to see vent cover clips preinstalled, but I think I understand why. If a person were to upgrade to a max air type fan the entire fan frame would be replaced.
Now, see, compared with the Lance 1995 in the last video, these cabinets don't look timeless and classic, they look old-fashioned; almost antique, and not in a good way. Terrific idea with that table, though.
They definitely dropped the ball on potential dinofa action. I think, given that it's "just" a mini fridge, I'd rather have had more closet space inside than that fridge compartment. Does the TV swivel far enough for toilet TV capability?
What can I say, theater seating, an oven, a 32 inch TV which is fine for a rainy day, a porcelain toilet, a 12 volt fridge with solar, dinette drawer slides, slam latch cargo doors and a LADDER👍👍👍Just a fart fan and a nice camp side window away from being perfect😕
Josh you’re talking about the dining table. I think that every RV big or small should have a outdoor fold table like the Lance one. It should be against the law to have large windows facing the neighbors, I don’t want to see them. But like you said y’all may have an RV for everyone’s taste & budget. Josh you almost always talk about your male pattern baldness, I think that the way you pick on her, I think that she has slapped the hair off of the front of your head. East & West, North & South. Need North, South, East, West TT, so you can travel all across the United States🙂🙂🙂🙂. Love your humor, I like to make you laugh also. Josh occasionally we’ll another YouTub RV channel, we’re not going to do that anymore because you do the best videos, you give the good, bad, & ugly about each one, no sugar coating & So keep up the good work.
I agree 100% on the Dining Table thing We prefer to loose the access to the bedroom with the slide closed but leave the access to the Fridge available as when we return home from a trip to clean out the Fridge Love the layout Love the bigger awning and electric stabilizer and pass thru outdoor fridge Absolutely love the redneck storage box under the steps for jack blocks. Only big downfall for me is Campside windows
Very Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!

There's carpet in those bed stand nooks! I guess that would be a good place for a cat to sleep.
Thanks , I like this one
Happy Father’s Day Josh. Great looking TT. Thanks for sharing👍👍
Thanks! You too!
We have a KZ. Connect with that floor plan. Love the king bed and large bathroom
Yeah popular layout. Every brand brings their own little flair to it!
Where’s the furthest you’ve taken yours?
I like the "tool chest" under the steps. Good idea.
It's one of those things most brands won't do because it's a few extra bucks but I think it's a really start add-on
Can you put together a series of more off-road, dry camping trailers for a family of four?
Here's one to start with bit.ly/3tOTi3U
Perhaps some Embers as well
"Off Road" means different things to different people

Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's day Uncle Josh!
Thank YOU for ALL of your hard work and electric ⚡️spirit!

Losing the bedroom is a big deal. Our trailer serves as a spare bedroom. And, we park it between our garage and fence with no room to open a slide.
That’s why I take the time to point it out - I know how important it is for some people
Very nice lookin Alta series Travel Trailer 😊😊👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Josh buddy try and get some good rest!😊😊
Love the brackets around the windows for total privacy/blackout.
I like that as well. Great for napping off a daytime headache
Josh, can you review the Forest River EVO Southwest T2250 please? Seems like a unicorn.
Not sure we have those in our lineup but if I see one at one of our stores then I will get it
@@JoshtheRVNerd thank you kindly!

Are there trailers that filter/recycle grey water for use in the shower and toilet...to extend boondocking?
Happy Father's Day y'all. Nice design and yes a 36-42" TV would be nice I don't go camping to watch TV....
And a happy Father’s Day to you as well 😊
Do you need to fully open the slide to get to the bed or can you do it halfway. Great bathroom
This is a rack and pinion slide so you can open it partially but I wouldn’t recommend leaving it that way for any long than you have to
Nothing is stopping you from putting in a bigger tv that surface mounts outside of the wood paneling. Use a full motion extended mount and swivel it so you can see it from the bathroom.
I could see it!
Looks like a mix between a Grand Design and a Jayco Eagle
I feel like there was a lot of inspiration from Imagine here but I also feel like EtW found a way to inject their own identity here
