@@sebgold5841 Casey would be great if she was willing to accept, The abusive and uncalled for aspect of her finishing at San Diego might be causing her to be cautious. She is such a great coach i hope some lucky team can make her an offer which empowers her.
I liked Jonas but always felt that managing Arsenal was a step too big for him. I felt at times that he was lost when things were not going right on the pitch...
He wasn’t a good manager… I said that about a month ago and someone was crying I should go support Chelsea or man city… the team face same problem all the time.. they can’t score goals and his selection was appalling… good he got the marching orders… next please
Responsibility for the performances and loses are both the manager and the players fault. Kim Little and all the players need to take a hard look in the mirror, put in the work in training and when they cross that white line on a match day. These next weeks will say a lot about the mentality of the girls.
Jonas was made a scapegoat which the players are more than happy to hide behind. Yes he had flaws especially in games against lesser teams who played defensively but against the big teams he coached wins majority of the time, the players ability to finish has been the determining factor in many of these games even this season.
Exactly 💯 Jonas tactics and the players performances have been poor. Now, with Jonas gone the players need to be evaluated and changes made to the squad.
Losing to Chelsea and Bayern is acceptable. The league is lost when you can't beat Everton this season, West Ham and Tottenham last year. Reading the year before and Birmingham in 2021/22, both of whom were relegated. Chelsea have a habit of losing to Liverpool but otherwise always win verses the other 9 teams, City and Arsenal excluded
He sealed his fate when he pushed Viv out. Hard to imagine what that must have done to the team's confidence in him. Nobody would ever have believed that was a decision made for purely footballing reasons. There is no system or team plan into which you can't fit a player like her so it was weird of him to suggest that she didn't fit into his plans. After that, he was always just a slip-up or two away from this outcome, so fair enough.....
im sorry but Renee isn't good enough for Arsenal too. but easy fixtures might save her and suddenly everyone gonna say she is the good replacement for Jonas

Oh god... Renee sais it's been about "small margins"... No it's not ! This is really misunderstanding the problem. It's about a deficient, over-conservative style of football. The style needs to be reformed with more speed, diversity and risk to significantly change fortunes. I fear little will change with her.
@@ighfirlee No. See. Arteta is making progress over the years, Jonas was, then dropped. He was depleting. Lost progress. Arteta should stay. He's the right manager for us. We will eventually win under him. I know it
The presser exposes so much about the club. They use social media so aggressively passively and now its unravelling. The game has shifted massively in quality and ability. Kim Little is not a Wendy Renard. Women's football is now an elite sport and those who are not at that level are being found out such as the players who have been at the club a long time. Both Chelsea and Man City have found ways to qualify and be competitive at Champions League level. Arsenal has made misstep after misstep, recruiting players of little resilience, a character trait not lacking at Chelsea or Man City, as well as showing the right people the door and hanging on to the wrong people, a level of negligence unaffordable at this level. My gut feeling, the dismissiveness of the women's team will continue unless the club is willing to appoint a coach or team knowledgeable of tactics, player recruitment and development with a 3-5 year plan. Or Just go big and get Emma Hayes.
Sad news for me as an arsenal fan but this what club football is about; you either win games and trophies or you get the boot. I applaud him for being accountable knowing he didn't have enough to take them further . The man sign the contract extension with that Arteta fraud that same year but proved more successful with two league cups and champions league semifinal whereas Arteta has NOTHING to show for it. I wish Jonas Eidevall best of luck . This Club will remember his success.
What's next for Arsenal?
hire Pep of course
Casey Stoney? By coincidence she had an invite to the Emirates on Saturday...

Very impressive, good luck to her

You're right. He seemed overwhelmed, poor guy
Agree, well said.
Kim Little would make a good manager one day
She is such a leader ❤
Renee Slegers is only a year older than Kim Little....
Sad to see the manager going. However, this club is too big to be always falling short.
Renee you and Arsenal will managed this situation. Be strong girls 👍❤️⚽💪
He could've resigned before fires Viv. He will not be missed...
